D&D 5E Working on a Warlord Full Class

Question, are those movement maneuvers that rely on a die roll to set their movement still part of the class? Because that has some issues. Mostly that I'm not sure how to deal with rolls that aren't a multiple of 5.

Requesting Feedback on These Two Homebrew 5e D&D Monk Subclasses

Ok way of the righteous feels kind of like it's trying to juggle a bit too much. It's trying to be a mini-pally and a pocket cleric. My advice is to pick whether you want it to be more cleric like (domain spells, active ally buffs), or more paladin like (crusader/inspirational powers, more...

    Banishing Eldritch Blast

Yeah, 'up time' is a term I always associated with buffs/debuffs, referring to the amount of time it's in effect. Could it have been referring to hex? I generally consider that to be part of the damage calcs for a warlock's EB.

    Monk attacks

    Shouldn't that be strength bonus?

    D&D 5E Should D&D have a planeswalker class?

The problem with planes walkers as a specific class/sub-class is two fold: 1. Generally speaking the ability to travel between planes is considered a high level ability, probably because the average encounter level out there is significantly higher, and because many planes require special...

    Banishing Eldritch Blast

Keep in ind the original intent here wasn't to nerf the warlock but to give them more options, due to how EB gets all those neat buffs it makes it seem like Warlocks shouldn't bother with other damage dealing cantrips despite having a couple of nice ones. The problem was that the proposed...

    Banishing Eldritch Blast

Yeah, but that still means the guy can't just rush back up in your face before you get your next shot off is what I'm saying.

    Banishing Eldritch Blast

Ehhhh i think the intent is that you repel the guy in front of you and the extra beams from leveling up are free to fire normally. Not the the guys is somehow immobilized far away from you.

    Banishing Eldritch Blast

In theory, no, in practicality that's what a large chunk of class features focus on. Frankly it's one of the few things a warlock can do better than a sorcerer or wizard, consistent at-will single target damage.

    Banishing Eldritch Blast

Well the big issue is that without EB's bonus damage multiplier your DPS starts to dip, especially your single target damage. I really like the concept of adding the invocation buffs directly to the various other cantrips, but keep in mind that you're removing the warlock's signature, and that...

D&D 5E [Forgotten Realms] The Wall of the Faithless

It cannot be that hard to isolate and murder the stupid and arrogant ones first. Hell that's Gruumsh's whole schtick: arrogance.

D&D 5E [Forgotten Realms] The Wall of the Faithless

If mortals like Wyvernspur can pull it off it can't be a resource/power problem.

D&D 5E [Forgotten Realms] The Wall of the Faithless

Then why haven't the good/non-moron gods murdered the bad ones? Clearly they care more about maintaining the great game than anything else.

D&D 5E [Forgotten Realms] The Wall of the Faithless

Well the fact that torilian gods are almost universally tyrannical forces that are a malus upon civilization from the mortal perspective probably gets a few people into the wall each generation. I mentioned this earlier, even the 'good' gods are basically toying with mortals, largely to sate...

D&D 5E [Forgotten Realms] The Wall of the Faithless

I'm not sure atheism is the right word when dealing with the forgotten realms. I mean it implies a disbelief in gods, which in that 'verse probably has more to do with trauma, mental illness, or extreme indoctrination than anything resembling a personal decision. Anti-theists? As in opposed to...

D&D 5E [Forgotten Realms] The Wall of the Faithless

The thing to keep in mind when dealing with gods, especially the 'good ones', is that they're playing a game. Mortals are their pieces, and the local reality is their board. Gods, DnD style ones anyway, almost never battle one another directly outside of creation/dawn of history stories, and...

    Official 5e Classes?

It has sub classes, no base classes.

    D&D 5E Psychic Class

Sharpened mind's AC powers seem redundant. What's the point of upping the unarmored AC if you're going to also give them heavier armor?

Trying to plot out my approach to a 5e incarnate.

Ok I'm hitting a problem. See some soul melds should logically apply bonuses to the same actions, not a huge issue back in 3e, but 5e really tries to be more careful about the stacking of buffs, at least within a single class. I don't want to install a body slot system on soul melds but it...

    D&D 5E Dragon Player Characters

Isn't the base ac of the dragon 14+dex mod? Doesn't that mean that someone pumping dex can already get 19?
