Old games stores in New York

I'm researching some old game stores of New York or the metro area. I'm Aware of course of the long time Complete Strategist (still there ) and the closed Neutral Ground. Would be very grateful of people could tell me about older games stores of the city and if possible pics would be wonderful...

1st Edition Premium Unearthed Arcana Reprint

One thing about UA is that unlike the original three core books, most copies were very poorly bound and didn't last for several decades, or even years. There may be dedicated 1e gamers whose copy has fallen apart.

Please recommend good Slavic themed RPG products

Rus: Fantasy Role-playing is a relatively obscure Ausralian RPGS product

Please recommend good Slavic themed RPG products

The Dragon and the Bear, for Ars Magica, already mentioned. GURPS Russia for Gurps 3e, also already mentioned, is a very good general product, covering all genres of RPGs (as is the way with Gurps) and has suggestions for superhero gaming, fantasy, historical, etc. It has value as a reference...

Review of Dungeon Crawl Classics (DCC) RPG by Goodman Games

I thought free RPG day stuff was not supposed to be available for free as a PDF. Isn't the idea to get gamers into brick and mortar stores? Having lived in Russia I do understand your problem though.

New York City: anyone recommend somewhere for laptop repair?

I would be willing to do some light repair myself, I have opened old laptops and taken out the hard drive for example. But I probably need some tutorial on that. It is not under warranty; It's two years old. The problem is that 'windows fails to start'. that's about all I can say. I turn...

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Edition Reprints

I would think a 'complete compendium' single volume with the 'best of' the complete books might be an idea... EDIT OK, probably way too much work. But I"d reckon it would sell.

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Edition Reprints

God, I hope this is not true as I really want WotC to do some reprints of some of the classic stuff, and I maintain perhaps futile hope of a return to the sale of PDFs. Still, assuming that your speculation is correct, it seems like WotC was selling or allowing the sale of PDFs for a long time...

    3rd Edition D&D Collector's Guide

Wasn't Fiend Folio 'almost' fully 3.5 compatible. It was released just before 3.5, but was edited to be very easily convertible. I forget the specifics...

    D&D 3E/3.5 D&D Books for sale in Moscow: 3.5e/3.0e/2e/d20

Thanks for the suggestion, though somehow that seems a bit complicated :) I have also posted a boardgames sale and a link for my 3.5 core books on sale.

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Edition Reprints

Undoubtedly they are trying to win over customers; that's sort of their business objective. There's nothing 'sad' about that. I'm not sure I buy the 'it means 4e was a mistake' idea though. If so, then what does releasing the 1e books mean? WotC knows there's still demand for 3.5 books out...

    Best Initiative System?

I have a vague memory from the Dragonsfoot forums a few years back that MerricB claimed that this was the single guy on the planet that understood 1e initiative. I wonder if that Initiative booklet will make its way into the 1e reprints?

    Best Initiative System?

Isn't the initiative system for 1e insanely difficult to figure out, in the RAW?

    "Iconics" Throughout D&D History

What about the pre-generated characters that appeared in some of the classic modules?

WotC has a plan for their D&D archive. What is it!?

Do we have any idea what products are in this collection? Are there classic products like G123? Or is it mostly stuff that didn't sell like WG11?

    D&D 3E/3.5 D&D Books for sale in Moscow: 3.5e/3.0e/2e/d20

I am soon moving from Moscow (after 15 years) back to the US, and unfortunately my massive RPG collection is weighing me down. I've posted a sale on a Russian RPG site which I'll link to. All books are in English and in Good to Excellent condition. I've posted the prices in roubles; generally...

D&D 5E My D&D Next Wishlist: Bring back XP for GP!

If your going to have gold converted into XP, one thing to consider is if in your world Magic Items are commodified and easily purchased as in the default 3e world. In this case, characters acquiring gold is a double bonus because they get the gold and then buy magic items which further power...
