    D&D 5E Everyday Heroes Review

One thing to note is that there will be a Rules Compilation that features all the backgrounds, classes, game mechanics, etc., of all the Cinematic Adventures, without the adventures themselves, released later in the year. :)

D&D 5E Fifth Age: A hard science fiction 5e conversion

I'm coming up with a list of "official" and slang terms for the races, so "Nodes" would fit in. One of the ideas I have is of one of the Archons hiding out in a Hive and either being treated like a deity or being so enmeshed into the network that the residents are just assuming the voices...

D&D 5E Fifth Age: A hard science fiction 5e conversion

I'm planning on running a campaign set in the solar system with no aliens or FTL but in the same general timeline. To fill the void as far as races go, I'm working on stats for Bioroids (in this sense, genetically engineered humanoids) and Uplifts (genetically enhanced animals) using your Custom...

D&D 5E Fifth Age: A hard science fiction 5e conversion

These sheets are really nice, Dhemos. Your friend is quite talented. I like how everything that is essential is on one side. One thing, though, and I hope this doesn't come across as nit-picky, but Medkit and Robot Control Interface (RCI) are missing from the Proficiencies list (they're also...

D&D 5E Fifth Age: A hard science fiction 5e conversion

Thanks for the reply. Level 10 seems fine. I like what you've done to balance the rules around that. I'll have to check out EL6, as I'm not familiar with that. I think I'm going to make up some pre-made level 4 characters to run a one-shot with my group to see what they think. Oh, regarding...

D&D 5E Fifth Age: A hard science fiction 5e conversion

I really like this. Hard SF is my favorite genre of Science Fiction and I'm planning on adapting it for an alternate Transhuman Space-inspired game on non-D&D weekends. I was originally thinking of using Ultramodern 5E, but I really like how streamlined Fifth Age is. One thing I was wondering...

First house rule: Tieflings have small horns

People always say this, but does anyone ever do it?

What Kind of Druids Do You Like?

I picked animal/plant/nature/shaper/weather. Maybe with paths to emphasize shaping or spells. I think of the Druid as having more of a connection to the "natural" world than to other planes. I'd like to see an Elementalist class focusing on (Greek) elements, and a Shaman class focusing on...

    Worlds and Monsters Art Gallery

The art looks pretty good. My only complaint is the massive heads on the troll, spined devil and wyvern (which otherwise look pretty cool).

    Spell-less Ranger confirmed by Mearls

Paladins might very well be spell-less in 4e. Of course they'll still have a variety of smites and access to divine power, but that divine connection has always been part of what being a Paladin is about. I imagine one could make a non-supernatural "knight in shining armor" in 4e using the...

    OK... that's just vulgar...

I didn't see it at first. I thought people were talking about the eye, but that's just the little man in the boat. :heh:

True 20 - Is it really Simpler?

I haven't started running anything in True20 yet, but I bought poker chips last week for that same purpose.

Failing to meet prestige class requirements

The same way you temporarily lose the use of all the Feats in the Dodge Feat Chain (as per p87 of the PHB). The descriptions of individual PrCs give additional conditions in which you lose Special Abilities or are no longer qualified to gain levels in the PrC. IMHO, it makes sense for some...

Failing to meet prestige class requirements

It depends on whether or not that part of the text is worded the same way in the 3.0 DMG. If it's different, IMHO that would imply that the original intent in 3.5 is that you don't lose PRC class abilities if you no longer meet the requirements. If it's the same, it's a bit more ambiguous. MadBlue

So, anyone seen M&M in stores yet?

I don't have it yet, but I'm thinking of using it for running Transhuman Space.

    Defensive Bonus variations?

The Armsman's Defense Bonus stacks. It's not as good as the other combat-related classes, IIRC, but it stacks with armor, while the DB of other classes doesn't. MadBlue

    Defensive Bonus variations?

IMC characters (and classed NPCs) get a Dodge Bonus equal to 1/3 their level (rounded down). I didn't want to muck about with class balance by giving different classes different Dodge Bonuses, but I wanted them to rely more on their own abilities to avoid damage, rather than magical items. The...

    More Moreaus

Here are two I came up with on the WotC boards a while back: Bovine Moreau Covert: +2 Con, -2 Int Moderate: +2 Con, -2 Int, +2 Str, -2 Dex Overt: +4 Con, -4 Int, +2 Str, -2 Dex Species Traits: Endurance (Ex): Bovine Moreaus gain the Endurance Feat for free. Horns (Ex) Overt Bovine Moreaus...

    True20 and Modern Games

Hmm. I've come up with two ideas. One is to create a Role (let's just call it "Professional" for the sake of simplicity) that has poor Combat, 4 skills and 1 good Save, 4 Bonus Feats taken from General and Professional lists. The Feats it has access too are ones that build on or require Ranks...
