The battles end. The first group was interesting, but the monsters summoned by the most experimented casters are impressive, and teh crowd stay up to the end. As the contestant leaves the Arena, the crowd slowly leave, talking about what they have seen, as much never had the chance to see magic before, at least not much in one day.

But there seems to be another subject on the lips of the crowd. A fire have started just north of the Merchant's Avenue. the rumors are many, someone is telling there is many dead, the other tells it has been extenguish. Some tells it is a house who has burn, another one tells it is a warehouse containing some kind of explosive material, another tells it was coal and it would take time to burns. Another rumors tells that many persons have entered a building to save a baby. Some tells they never got out of it, others tells they barely made it. one thing is sure, it is something is burning, as a column of smoke riase in the air, push toward the lands by the sea wind.

Some of you returns to the Red Dragon Inn, others go to the Winged Flute, and take a look at the performance there. Tonight, the performance are correct. The first performer tells a story of a famous hero of Earling. He tells his story and his great feats. He also have created a short act, a monologue, where he become the hero of his story, and telling the last war that hero has fought, the one who he has found death. The second performer come on a more ligther note. He play some lute. The first is a solo, where the sound of the lute is pure. The second performance he offer, he adds his voice, and with his feet, add some percussion. The last performer offer two dances, gracious and fluid, but lacking something to impress the crowd.

As the people come back to the Red Dragon Inn, the clouds have arrived over the city, and a few drops start to pour down. The streets are dark as the moon can't pirce the clouds. As they arrive at the Inn, they are completly wet, as the rain is now an heavy one. Before entering the Inn, they see a red glow coming from the Merchant,s Avenue... Thanks to Halor, the rain will extenguish the fire...

This morning, the air is fresh. The road are wet from the rain that has fall on the city during all the night. A white smoke still raise in the air form the merchant avenue. The cloud are push by the wind who blow gently in the street, but who must blow strongly above, where the building do not block it. As you come closer to the Arena, the crowd grow thick. You see merchant that establish some stall near the Arena.

you enter the Arena and go into teh tribune, where people start to gather. Today, the Arena will be full, as the duel will be at the honor, and it was the most expected contest of the tournament.

When he reach the Arena, he see teh stands that are starting to become alive, as teh merchant plaec there stock. One of them, who arrived earlier and is already trying to get attention, see Deos and tell him. "Sir, you seem a man of magic, and you will surely like my goods. Magical items of many sort. You need to ward you, to heal, to protect yourself or harm an enemy, or just to impress, I have what you need." he show you a set of vials, scrolls, trinkets and many other things.

"I have a lot of things." He take what look like an horn no larger than a boar tusk. "That horn, if reduce to powder and put on a wound, can heal it quickly." He grabs a small bottle. "That is use by the people who works with tar and other gluwy things. It is perfect to clean your hand so you don't finish by have all your equipement sticky." He takes a shell. "That is a triton shell. It allow to understand the speech of the dolphin, marvelous creature and very bright, friends of all sailors." He takes another vials. "Drink that, and you will become the most courageous person, perfect when you need some courage. For any of these items, I ask 45 gp, but if you are wiling to put more, I can offer somme of my prime items."

The door open, and Warren leads two lines of contestant. Both lines walk around the first circle, on on each side. The first eight contestants of each line continue to finish in front of the second circle while the eight lasts of each line stop in front of the first. Two judges per cicle join the contestant. In the first circle Jik'tu names is called down. In the second Khairi is called.

It is hard to make a good evaluation of all contestant, as they are all wearing good quality armor and weapons. The one in front of Khairi is wearing a full plate mail and a large steel shield. At his belt is a dagger, and he has a longsword in his hand. He salute the Sarundani and get into position.

Jik'tu opponent is an dwarf, wearing a breastplate. His shield on his back, he has an halberd in his hand, and a handaxe at his belt. He place into position, his halberd in front of him.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Before the start of the combat, you can ready one action. When the combat start, initiative is rolled and you can act as normal, and if you go second, you always have your ready action that can enter.

Jik'tu, having carried in the ransuer swings it in a wide arc above his head, bangs it upon his shield a half dozen times yelling at the top of his lungs...

He again swings it and sticks it in the ground at his side and draws his flail.

Looking at the dwarf...

He then puts his flail into constant motion as it should be.
