2010 Bards and Sages Writing Contest

Bardsandsages

First Post
Bards and Sages Publishing announces the launch of its 2010 speculative fiction writing competition. Each year, we conduct a writing competition to benefit charity. This year, the competition benefits Doctors Without Borders.

This year, we have set up a unique contest that allows participants to donate directly to Doctors Without Borders. In lieu of collecting reading fees, participants can make a direct donation via our donation portal. Not only will this allow them to enter the contest, but their donation will also be tax deductible in most cases.

This year’s contest is accepting horror, fantasy, and science fiction stories of up to 20,000 words. The grand prize winner will be awarded with an Amazon Kindle as well as a cash prize. The Kindle will be awarded pre-loaded with not only all current Bards and Sages fiction titles, but also a variety of books by both established and up-and-coming independent authors.

All winning entries will also be published in an upcoming anthology. If the donation portal reaches $5,000 in donations, either from participants in the contest or individual donors, the publisher will release the anthology in digital format for free download. For complete details on the contest, visit Bards and Sages 2010 Writing Competition.

The following authors have donated their books for inclusion in the grand prize:

William Campbell
David Derrico
Kevis Hendrickson
Valerie J. Long
C.S. Marks
