3.5 Any truth to a 7/1 release date?

According to the Walmart site (not that I am buying from them, just looking for info) they have that the books "will ship it to arrive to you on or just after the release date of 7/1/2003." Is this true? I figured that the books would not be available until Gencon. Any idea if this is accurate or not?

Well the current street given to distributors by WotC is the 18th. For a while it was the 11th but that got changed about a month and half ago.

Most WotC products have Fridays for street dates but the revised books could be an exception. We still have about a month to go so it's possible the street date could change to earlier in the week somewhere between the 11th and the 14th.

I'm sure I'll hear something in the next week which I'll post as soon as I can confirm.
