Aussie fails to recharge command deviltry ( :2: ). He tries an infernal slash on Monte, 8+15 misses. He saves vs. the immobilization, but is still lit up.

Lord Soth recharges HGA ( :5: ) for as much good as it will do him. He starts dying (6).

Heather awaits the new leader.

Kex the eye of flame (beholder, large) and new leader of Evil appears at 60n50e, hovering just above the ground. He first not surprisingly targets Pete with his central eye (minor) giving him -5 to defenses and vulnerability to fire 5 for 1 round. He then activates two eye rays, fire against Pete (duh), 18+15 vs Ref-5 hits for 17 fire total (includes vuln). Kex looks as surprised as me when finding out that Pete has no natural vulnerability to fire. "What kind of 'ice' archon are you?" The other eye ray is fear vs. Jozan, 9+15 vs. Will succeeds; Jozan gets -2 attacks on Kex for the rest of the encounter and must move his speed away from Kex next turn. Surprise, surprise, Kex uses one of his action points to fire two more eye rays. Fire again against Pete, crit! Uh oh, that's not good for Pete, who takes 26 fire total (includes vuln.). The second eye ray is another fear, this time vs. Pete, 14+15 vs. Will-5; Pete gets -2 attacks on Kex for the rest of the encounter and must move his speed away from Kex next turn.

Heather climbs back down and then moves to 5n75e upon direction from Kex.

OOC: Kex can't fry and fear Pete with his AP action - the eyes need different targets. I'll apply the fear to Monte instead.

Jozan does not recharge ( :1: ). He moves to 20N20E, then to 50N20E.

Monte moves to 95N0E, triggering an OA from Aussie. He taps out. The shadowing blade disappears.

Pete loops to 55N50E and attacks Kex, 7+23, hit. Kex takes min 10 plus 5 cold damage and is slowed.

Gansk the human fighter appears at 70N30E and attacks Aussie, 5+13+2, miss.

Lord Soth almost recovers on his own anyway (18).

Kex shifts northwest and activates his central eye vs. Pete (minor). He then 'runs' up to 65n45e15z (I'm assuming that with HVR, he can move up without penalty). Finally, Kex burns his second action point to fire two rays, Fire at Pete, 11+15 vs. Ref-5 just hits for 21 total fire. The second ray is a telekinesis vs Jozan, 16+15 vs. Fort for 10 damage and Jozan is moved to 35n40e. "Get him, Heather."

Heather moves to 30n45e and tries to stupefy (minor) Jozan, 15+15 vs. Will, Jozan is dazed 1 round. She then transforms into a cloud of beetles as she shifts and swarms into Jozan's space at 35n40e, 13+12 vs. Fort for 18 damage and Jozan contracts death beetle contagion (5 damage start of each round, save ends). Heather burns her last AP and all the beetles start dancing, 17+15 vs. Will, Jozan is now also dominated (save ends).

OOC: After a series of good rolls, Good is in serious trouble. That -5 on defenses for Kex has been the huge difference. I thought it would take pure luck to defeat Pete.

OOC: Don't you roll one save and apply it to all effects? You only roll a second time if you need to save vs. dying.

Lord Soth attacks from prone with a high guard attack, 8+20+2-2 hits for 21 damage and Gansk is at -5 attack for 1 round. Lord Soth then stands up, provoking an OA; good luck with that. ;)

Kex flies to 40n55e and activates his central eye vs. Pete (minor). He then activates his eye rays, telekinesis vs. Pete, 13+15 vs. vs. Fort -5+2 misses! Fire vs. Jozan, 11+15 vs. Ref for 15 fire.

Heather fails to recharge swarm's embrace ( :1: ) and tries to stupefy (minor) Jozan, 6+15 vs. Will, Jozan is dazed 1 round. She shifts to 35n35e and touches Jozan, 18+14 vs. Fort, for 12 damage and death beetle contagion.

Lurch the shadar-kai gloomblade appears at 50N60E and attacks Kex with his backfire sword. 8+11+2, miss. He burns an AP and tries again. 19+11+2, hit. Kex takes 9 plus 5 necrotic and catches on fire for 10 per round (save ends).

OOC2: Oopsy. I had Kex at 15z in my spreadsheet and forgot to type it up correctly in the post. Oh well, he must've had an itch on his belly. :D

Aussie fails yet again to recharge command deviltry ( :2: ). He attacks Gansk with his two-bladed sword, 10+15+2 hits for 11 damage + 10 fire.

Lord Soth fails to recharge HGA ( :2: what is it with this six-sider?). He also attacks the powerful Gansk, 11+whole bunches hits for max 16 damage. Gansk might not realize it yet, but he's down before he acts next round.

Kex activates his central eye vs. Pete (minor). He then shifts northwest (move) and then runs straight up to 15z provoking an OA from Lurch with combat advantage. He barely makes the save vs. Fire (9+2). Key note, he eschews his eye ray frenzy because it's stupid. He'd need to shoot against four separate targets and obviously fire/fire/fear/telekinesis, which is crap.

Heather recharges swarm's embrace ( :6: ) and tries to stupefy (minor) Pete, 10+15 vs. Will-5 succeeds; Pete is dazed 1 round. She touches Jozan again for 13 damage and death beetle contagion.

Kex activates his central eye vs. Pete (minor). He shifts west and then fires fire at Pete, 15+15 vs. Ref-5 for 16 fire. He fires telekineses on Jozan, 11+15 vs. Fort, moving Jozan to 55n20e (still prone) and doing 7 damage.

Heather tries to stupefy (minor) Pete, 10+15+2 (yeah, same roll) vs. Will-5 succeeds; Pete is dazed 1 round. She then touches Pete (std), 7+14+2 vs. Fort-5, misses. If I'm reading this right, she then does a swarm's embrace (move) into Pete's square, 8+12+2 vs. Fort -5 (fails).

McCoy moves then charges to 70N30E. 14+9+2+1, hit. Aussie takes min 4 plus 5 necrotic damage.
