Here it is folks. Newly updated and such. Please be kind, only constructive criticism please, yada, yada, yada...

I made several changes, both major and minor, especiallly after looking at the new PHB II for guidance.

Thanks alot to those who contributed the last two times. This build is for you.

Oh! And if anybody attempts a playtest with this class, please fill me in on how it goes! A lot of my friends don't understand my obsession with Psions, but I feel many of you out there do.

Have fun!

This looks intriguing, i've only read part one and had the briefest of looks through part two, i will give it a proper look through tomorrow for you ::

I'm curious about the metion of your psion controlling time and space; i haven't see any evidence of that at low level, but its a perfect description of a psionic class that i'm working on myself. If you don't mind i may pinch any good ideas you've had, and of course you are welcome to do the same, there is a link in my signature.

In part three is my updated version of a Nomad Telporation specialist as a Paragon path.

that's relaly good! thank you, it will help my Dark Sun cmapaign a lot! :)

One thing: Orbs SHOULD be by default, psion objects, there's too few items for them as is, and orbs are a standard magic or psionic item on Athas.

Fair enough. I felt that Orbs would make plenty of sense as Psionic Implements, but felt that it would be more balanced as an add-on feat rather than a automatic ability.

Originally my idea had Psions (Ver 1.0) without Implements at all! I felt most Psions would rather rely on their own abilities than require props to sharpen their powers. However, several posters back then pointed out that it left the Psion behind at higher levels for the damage curve. So I gave in and added in Psi-Crowns and Power Stones (See Part 4) as implements. No Dorjes however. I always felt Psionic wands were silly.

Keep em coming!

I like what you've written so far. I'll probably "borrow" some ideas, if I ever get around to finishing my own rules.

Have you considered making multiple psionic classes? This requires a lot more work, but it also helps limit the potential "I can do anything" aspect of a single psionic class.

Here's how I'm trying to do things.
Metabolist - Defender
Seer - Leader
Telekineticist - Controller or Striker
Telepath - Controller or Leader
Teleporter - Striker

Since there is precedent for mixing withing these categories, a class feature for all psionic classes is the ability to dip into the others. Sorry to hijack things...just some thoughts. I'll try to give some constructive and specific suggestions once I have time to read everything. :)

Good work!

One thing I've always liked about the Psion is that they have the potential to do anything. If they want to focus in TK powers they can if they want, if they want to be mind manipulators, they can do that too. If they want to mix it up...You get the idea. Also, with the implementation of the PHB 2 having classes that fit into multiple roles, I feel justified in my original decision. In essence my concept was, if you wanted to build a certain type of Psion, then simply pick (or create your own) powers and feats to make it using the base class. I originally was going to make a Psionic Warrior build for those who wanted that type of thing, but held back thinking they could still do so by simply spending feats on warrior type things, and multiclassing. I still might end up doing that as a new build for the Psion. You are welcome to come up with new builds and paragon paths of course...as long as you don't mind if I blatantly steal the good ones!

:D

Thanks!

One thing I noticed straight away is an issue with the mindlink ability.
You specified that the target is unaware of the link unless their passive insight is higher than the psion's level. As passive insight is 10 plus half level at a minimum, then targets that are a challenge will always detect the link.
Even if the Psion is level 10, a level 2 target will detect the mindlink.

You could instead use the Will defense of the Psion. This will ensure higher stats will have a greater effect on the mindlink.
The issue here though is that many feats and magic items increase the Will defense so it may get too difficult to detect.

Another option would be to have a "passive bluff" opposed by passive insight.

With the Nomad paragon path, the ability to choose where you land with a teleport should be at level 16, not 20. Not sure if this a typo or not.

The Body adept ability of Combat Enhancement is a little too powerful. I would remove the part about opportunity attacks, but keep in the when spend action point. One other issue is that the Psion only has 3 STR vs AC attacks. One at level 5, 13, and 25 (from my quick look through the powers). This makes the ability useless unless you are paragon multiclassing.
I'd make Adrenaline Surge a Stance as using a minor on sustaining something only for basic attacks seems a waste.

I'm interested in multiclass feats, especially since the Bard came out in PHB2.
I'd suggest the following MC feats for your Psion:

Disciple of the Mind
[Multiclass Psion]
Prerequisite: INT 13, CHA 13
Benefit: You gain training in the Insight skill.
You gain the Mindlink psion class feature.
Choose either the psion's Telepathy or Mindhand class feature. Once selected it cannot be changed. You can use that class feature once per encounter.
In addition, you can use a Psi-Crown, or a Power-Stone as an implement when using a psion power or psion paragon path power.
