Looking at Crossbow Autoloader trivial schemetic and trying to figure out its purpose.

A regular crossbow has Loading property, which allows you to shoot once a round without spending an action to reload your weapon. Reload (N) property requires 1 action to reload your weapon once every N shots.

"Hold on," you might say, "Clearly, Reload is superior option, because unlike loading it doesn't limit your number of attacks to one."
Yeah, sure, but Engineer doesn't bonus attacks, as a class ability or a gadget, so what's the point? Multiclass into fighter after fifth level?

As it stands, this schematic is straight up downgrade.

Does Net Launcher give you proficiency bonus when you use it? Like, you got to take the proficiency separately?

Just letting you know you may not get a reply because when asking questions, it might be a good idea to check the last activity. This thread was started in 2015, last updated by @ko6ux in 2021.

Not too long ago in a grand scheme of things and always nice to hear designer's opinion if they will decide to drop sometime in the next 2d4 years.
