I don't think we have a 5e logo yet (judging by the Jon S thread) and, the quote on the news page says that

Jeremy Crawford briefs the D&D Next DMs for the playtest at PAX East.

So, I'm presuming this is D&D next stuff.

But, then, I thought the playtest only had humans, elves, dwarfs and halflings.

Hrmmmm.

He's one of the iconic Rangers in Heroes of the Forgotten Kingdoms.

EDIT: Expanding: he's one of the iconic 2-weapon Rangers. On the right side of the picture there's another banner of the drow Belgos, one of the iconic archer Rangers.
