Scientists might being back the Wooly Mammoth. Throwing out that it may help combat climate change seems to make people cooler with the idea. .

To pitch this, you just have to know your audience.

Audience 1: It will fight climate change!

Audience 2: Two words- Mammoth. Burgers.

It would be a huge source of meat. That was my first thought. Then I started thinking how much food it would need and how much space it would need. I'm not sure it's sustainable.

A mammoth or mastodon on tundra would need as much room as an elephant does on savannah / semidesert, I would expect. At least (unlike Brontosaurus or Tyrannosaurus Rex) we have a decent "first guess" that could be close.
