Abjurant Champion Build Question

Goodlad

First Post
Hey People,

Im currently building my cohort for our 3.5 game.
Im looking at possibly making an abjurant champion/Master specialist.

I think it would work out well and fit into the party well without stepping on the toes of any main character.

Im also considering mixing in 1 level of Rune Smith just for 0% ASF.

Now what im trying to figure out is how to get the bab +5 for the abjurant champ while not dropping too many caster levels.

Im trying to work the build so he is primarily a caster and can use his buffs on other party members via the capstone ability of master specialist. I know thats a long way off but i wanna get on track for it.

So keeping that in mind i want to take as little melee class levels as possible but still get the bab requirements in a few levels possible.

Any suggestions?

I think it's going to matter what books in 3.5 you're allowed to use. If you can use every book ever created, people will all probably suggest something from Book of 9 Swords. A lot of games/DMs do not allow this book.

So ... what books can you use?

No books are offmlimits, i have all 3.5 stuff to hand anyways and can use em all.

I know some people might suggest Jade Phoenix Mage but im trying to stay out of melee because its already a melee heavy party.

So thats why im looking at maybe combining the abjurant champ boosts with the master specialist abilities to buff people.
