Thanks for the link, sounds like the core book is a must have, at least for me. Disappointing to read that Decipher does not have the liscense to do 1st and 2nd age stuff, really is my favorite time period.

They need a separate license.

The RPG license they currently have is with the Tolkien Enterprises, who is responsible for licensing LOTR and The Hobbit IPs.

To do material based on other Tolkien's works like the Silmarilion, they need to talk to the Tolkien Estate, currently run by Christopher Tolkien, JRR's eldest son.
