She's small, but mighty. Lerrick's will forces the magic effect away. Her limbs are still stiff, but she is breathing.

Fhangrim holds his ground, surrounded by his "girls". Stones shoot from the end of his staff at the beholder. However, the smashing blow by Drew and the subsequent bouncing make it hard to land a flying projectile.

Lerrick is momentarily slowed by the beholders petrify ray, but then fights off the majority of the enchantment. Raiyek charges and slices the necromancer Vermitrax. The necromancer is able to use his magical trinket to offset some of the damage.

The beholder growls, "Insects! I have survived more than you. I shall crush you!"

While on the ground, the tiny eyes shoot beams of energy before the beholder floats back off the ground. One of the rays hits Drew, causing panic to enter his mind. The effect is interesting as he doesn't remember actually feeling anything like panic before. Before he recovers his senses, he is 30 feet away from the beholder.

The beholders central eye washes a pale white beam in Lerrick's direction. As it washes over her, she feels momentarily drained by its anti-magic effect.

A white beam hits Fhangrim and he feels very... tired. A blasting beam hits Raiyek, sapping some strength.

OOC: [MENTION=88601]FourMonos[/MENTION], shooting ranged attacks in melee is not exactly safe thing to do...maybe I get OA before I'm hit simply due being attacked by ranged attack?

GM: Great question, it states that the beholder does not provoke OA when using eye rays though. I would have finished this Friday but the dice roller stopped working for me. Trying again today.

Lilli's Emerald Eye magic and the continuing psychic feedback from her previous assaults on the Beholder's mind, allow Lilli to maintain her illusion of the pixies' onslaught upon the many eyes with their sharp needles.

Lilli decides to open the range between her and the monster, because her magical crystal means that she can still continue her attacks from afar; she moves off towards one of the nearby alleyways.

Lilli also has Combat Advantage against the Beholder until the end of her turn due to the Feat:

FEAT - Phantom Echoes: When you use an arcane illusion power and hit a target, you gain combat advantage against that target until the end of your next turn. If the illusion power has an effect that a save can end, you instead gain combat advantage against the target until it saves against that effect.

Due to Lilli's use of her Orb of Far Seeing - Encounter Power, the beholder is considered half as far away for the purpose of ranged attacks made with this orb until the end of the encounter.

So:

Standard Action: With the help of Emerald Eye and Combat Advantage, Lilli uses Illusory Ambush on the Beholder - Total to Hit = 26 Damage = 16.

No! What?! Stop! Raiyek yells uselessly inside his own head, powerless as he watches his own arm bring his sword down onto Vermitrax. When control of himself returns, the paladin whispers a prayer of aid for Vermitrax, regretting his actions even though he was not in control. "You will pay for that," he promises, running back to the floating monstrosity and unleashing a keenly accurate slash into its hide. Even as the blade strikes home, a flow of healing energy goes out from Raiyek to Vermitrax, further repairing the damage that was done.
[sblock=OOC]@FourMonos, just a reminder that the beholder would take 8 radiant damage from Divine Sanction the first time it targets someone other than Raiyek each round. Also remember that the beholder is marked by Raiyek... doesn't look that extra -2 would have changed anything last round though.

Raiyek gains 4 temp hp when the beholder damages him, from his Honored Foe feat.

Minor: Channel Divinity: Divine Mettle to give Vermitrax a save with a +2 bonus. Hopefully that gets rid of the ongoing damage.

Move: to M29

Standard: Resurgent Smite vs Beholder: natural 1, 16 necrotic damage. I'll burn Elven Accuracy to reroll: 1D20+17 = [18]+17 = 35. Hits for 16 necrotic damage, and Vermitrax can spend a surge. If the beholder was bloodied before Raiyek attacked, add 2 damage.

Attacking the beholder refreshes divine sanction on it until end of Raiyek's next turn.[/sblock]
