Adventure: Delivery of Death (DM: Luinnar, Judge: renau1g)

GM: By the way, I'll let anyone use a move action to help free RAM TIGER from the Zombie's Grab (has to be next to the Zombie, Same DC)

Also remember that if you used force movement to get RAM TIGER out of his reach, it automatically breaks the grab.

Jax looks away from Kasha when she takes a blow, frowning in an "Oooh, that's gotta hurt" kind of way. He suspects he himself will be the target of the sword soon enough, but what can he do about it? Figuring a strong offense will save the party, Jax hops out of the coffin and presses his attack against the zombie. He plants a solid blow into the zombie's right shoulder and then, seeing an opportunity, slices a glancing blow against its face. In the moments following the attack, the zombie has trouble seeing out of its right eye.

OOC: Bonus damage: Until the start of Jax's next turn, the next ally who hits the target and has combat advantage against it deals 2d8+3 extra damage.

[sblock=Jax stat block/actions][sblock=actions]Move: Shift to I5.

Kasha gives a yelp of pain and goes pale as she sees her own blood and realises just how close she came to a grisly end. If she hadn't managed to roll with that first slash, or get out of the way of the second...

Shock swiftly gives way to murderous rage, and she sets about the zombie with renewed fury as she showers it with a slew of colourful obscenities. Even in the heat of the moment her instincts stay sharp and she capitalises on the advantage that Jax has handed her, coming at the restless corpse from its blind side and slicing deep into its already-damaged shoulder.

Panting, Kasha comes back to herself a little and notices the blood flowing freely from her chest. "...ugh, what a mess. Don't worry, I'm... uh... fine."
She shakes her head vigorously and snags a potion from her belt, throwing it down her neck in one gulp. "Fine, dammit." She eyes the zombie's sword warily.

[sblock=OOC]Kasha gains 5 thp upon being Bloodied from her Half-Orc resilience.

Standard: Sly Flourish on the zombie, with flanking: http://[/COLOR1d20+11=23, hit vs AC. Damage 1d8+8=13, plus 2d8+3=12 from Sneak Attack, plus 2d8+3=14 from Jax's Sneak in the Attack (yay!) for a total of 39 damage.

Dorn observes the two rogues punish the zombie with great satisfaction. Hoping to free RAM TIGER from the undead's monstrous grip, Dorn steps forward (move to G6), closes his eyes, and lets his mind explode with psychic force. He opens his eyes and finds no evidence of his efforts, other than a mild headache. (Bedeviling Burst misses.)

"Keep it up guys!" he shouts by way of encouragement. Don't mind me...

GACK

RAM TIGER struggles in the grasp of the zombie, his eyes bulging out of his head cartoon-like. This doesn't stop him from grabbing bits of the zombie with his claws and tearing it apart.

OOC: In retrospect, I should probably have helped Sanzuo escape (I "only" need a 13+) and saved Sneak in the Attack for later. Oh well, next round, if RAM TIGER is still alive...

"Don't just stand there with your eyes closed, Dorn!" Ingot calls, then clanks awkwardly around the scrum until it has flanked the zombie with Jax. Its chest-mounted holy symbol rotates a quarter turn and clicks. Its long blade starts to glow with the red light of Vulkar's forge. The warforged swings the weapon around its head and slashes deep into the zombie, the holy light burning its undead flesh, and its glow spilling over to RAM TIGER, healing the gnoll. "By Vulkar's hammer - begone!" Ingot thunders, and its holy symbol spins rapidly, emitting more of the forge-light, burning the zombie further.

Ingot regards the frenzied gnoll. "Hang on, RAM TIGER! Ah, I see that you are. Good grip! Vulkar, please repair my companion!" More of the gnoll's wounds close.

[sblock=Actions]Move: To K7 (can loop around to the east to avoid OA, I think)
Spend AP - activates veterans armor for +1 to attack rolls and defenses TENT.
Standard: Healing strike (CA, VA) (1d20+11+2+1=32, 2d12+5=18) That's a solid hit! 18 radiant damage (23 including vulnerability). RAM TIGER heals surge + 4 (14). Also, the zombie is marked by Ingot. (RAM TIGER may overwrite this mark, but feel free not to - Ingot has full HP and bonus to defense from veteran's armor.)
Standard: Turn Undead (CA, VA) (1d20+7+2+1=15, 2d10+4=16) Rats, a miss... too bad it would have pushed the zombie and freed RAM TIGER. Still does half damage, so 8 + 5 / 2 = 6 damage. (Note, I forgot to change the description text on the roll so it still says Healing Strike, but it was the correct bonus for turn undead at +7.)
Minor: Healing Word (RT) (1d6+4+10=15) minimum, boo. But 15 more back, so RAM TIGER is now back to 37.[/sblock]

Angered at Ingot's divine attacks the zombie swings his giant sword in four fluid motions. Three of the slashes pierce through Ingot's armor plating, damaging the mechanisms inside. Thankfully the forth goes wild, but it is still enough damage to shut him down. As he hits the ground RAM TIGER lets out an loud growl, one of his pack has been harmed! He thrashes about trying to escape, foiling the attempts by the zombie to choke the life out of him.

"Bloody hell,"Kasha spits as the corpse nearly dismembers Ingot in a couple of seconds. "This guy really needs a solid reminder that he's dead."

Doing her best to suit actions to words, she aims a lightning-fast slash at the zombie's head but meets a parry from its massive sword. Recovering, she hops back and comes in under its guard with a sweep at its kneecaps, only to find herself denied once more as the sword comes implacably down and forces her away before she can do any damage. She gives a growl of frustration, venting at her companions. "C'mon, c'mon, finish it off!"

[sblock=OOC]On the bright side, if the zombie had made those rolls against Kasha, it would have put her on -14 and killed her outright with the first two attacks, and still had its AP to double attack someone else. Scary.

Jax attempts to stab into one of the zombie's hands to loosen its grip of RAM TIGER, but the wild thrashing of the two grapplers throws off his aim and he instead slices off a bit of the gnoll's forearm fur. Fearing retaliation from his own ally, he steps aside toward Kasha.

"*growl* He's like a piece of iron. Kasha, what say we go back to the boat? The villagers tied up the zombie, so they can handle him again!"
