Andras reaches into his quiver and pulls out another arrow, this one with a long ribbon of red cloth tied around the shaft. He takes careful aim and sends it into the ghoul attacking Jax. While the arrow doesn't so much harm, the bright ribbon marks her as a target. Andras then steps farther into the room and shouts out to Jax, "Don't worry, little one. We won't let them add you to the menu."

[sblock=Actions]Standard: Paint the Bulls-Eye vs Teresa. Hits AC 25 (yay!) for 2 damage (boo). Until the start of my next turn, allies have a +4 bonus to damage rolls against her.
Move: Move to R4.
Minor: Inspiring Word Jax, who can spend a surge and heal surge + 2 hp.

Luinnar, sorry if I wasn't clear, but the target of Staggering Shot falls prone after their first move. So the ghoul could move forward, then fall prone.

Oh, if our melee folk ever want me to launch them with Race the Arrow, just let me know.[/sblock]

Jax wobbles but remains standing. He is somewhat reassured by RAM TIGER's arrival and the thought that Andras has his back. Still, that bite wound hurts. His arms feel like jelly, but Jax manages to sting at Teresa under the distraction of the gnoll's charge. Despite the overpowering stench from the woman, he concentrates enough to stab hard into her thigh.

Kasha takes a running jump up onto the table, scattering silverware and rotted viands in every direction as she bounds across the dinner setting and launches herself into a leaping attack on the ghoulish hostess. Unfortunately she hadn't reckoned on the stench being quite so awful; gagging, she loses her focus and swings wide.


[sblock=OOC]Move: to S10, then Athletics to jump to W6 (need to clear 3 squares): 1d20+9=19, with a running start, clears just shy of 4 squares, so that should be fine; vertical distance is just under 5 feet, which should definitely be enough to get on top of the table.

Dorn steps toward the center of the room (Move to U11) and summons three icy spears from some arcane realm. They float over his head, waiting anxiously. With a nod of his head, the spectral weapons are sent flying with incredible speed toward the three enemies remaining. The leader is hit squarely in the chest, while the two ghouls receive glancing blows. An explosion of force erupts from Dorn as a result of his efforts, pushing everything away. (Ice Javelins hits Teresa, misses the other two (half damage). One of the misses was a critical miss, so everyone, friend and foe, within 5 squares of Dorn is pushed one square away. I applied the +4 damage bonus to the wrong roll - after adjusting for this, Teresa takes 15 cold damage and ongoing 5 cold damage (save ends), Ghoul 2B takes 14/2 or 7 cold damage, and Ghoul 3B takes 19/2 or 9 cold damage.)

Teresa screams with rage and tried to claw RAM TIGER's face, but he dodges her attack, laughing at her in the process. Meanwhile the male ghoul runs at Kasha and tries to claw at her, but she jumps aside just in time. The other female Ghoul runs up next to Kasha, glowering at her with her blank malevolent eyes.

After miraculously dodging the swiping claws of the ghoul, RAM TIGER responds in kind slashing at air as the ghoul leaps to the side. He manages to sink his teeth in on the next attack and holds on as hard as he can.

With her kobold flanking buddy too dizzy to grant her any advantage, Kasha is thrown back upon less subtle modes of attack. She levels a brutish swipe at the ghoul eyeballing her, but fails to connect. Cursing, she dives into a quick roll that gets her out of its reach for the timebeing. As she straightens into a crouch, one hand braced on the floor, she sets her sights on the slippery bastard that tried to claw her and tenses like a coiled spring as she prepares to go barrelling straight for it.

The paralysis slowly begins to fade from Jax's body. He can feel his legs once more, but he still finds it difficult to move, as if shackles and iron balls were chained to his limbs. He attempts to stab the leader ghoul again, but the invisible bonds foul up his attack.

Andras sees Kasha's plan and reacts accordingly. He looses another ribboned arrow at the ghoul, the scarlet cloth giving Kasha a clear trail to follow. He turns his attention back to the skirmish in front of him and shouts more encouragement to his allies, "Come now, Jax. We both know you're quicker than these corpses."

Standard: Race the Arrow vs Ghoul2B. Hits AC 22 for 6 damage. Well, I guess I'd rather hit with poor damage rolls than miss with great ones. Kasha can charge Ghoul2B, gaining a +4 power bonus to attack and damage rolls.
Minor: Shake it Off on Jax, who makes a saving throw at a +1 power bonus. Success, right on the dot.

Sanzuo, RAM TIGER should have done 4 more damage to Teresa thanks to Paint the Bulls-Eye.[/sblock]
