Jarro moved around the back, hoping to break through some webbing not nearly as strong.

Charging up from behind, and thrust the huge blade forward, driving it deep into the joompin spider. "Ya not gonna git away from dis Spidah dat easaly. I an I know all ya tricks."

1. Lord Adelin Mallaby recruits me and some other adventurers from the Tavern. He asked for protection, on a trip to Allaria. He is to be wed to Elena of Terconis, daughter of the Count of Terconis. According to tradition, the wedding must take place at the ancient chapel of the Terconis family, and the chapel in Count's Crovale lies in the high hills of old Allaria. The lady and the Count are already there.
2. The adventurers board Starlight's Veil, Mallaby's brig. The ship is built for speed, not cargo or battle.
3. Intended Path: Land at Ristaren (100 miles south of Fromish), and make our way up the old highway to here. A mile or two off the highway is the village of Achirem, which is still thriving in the midst of rough country, so they say. From there we cross Derianis ridge, and then down to Crovale. The last part through the hills may be dangerous.
4. We land at Ristaren, and it is a small, poor town.

Goldenhorn eyes the webs suspiciously. Not wishing to become stuck, he moves to get a clear view and pulls out a light spear, throwing it hard into the body of the jumping spider.

As the group moves towards the large spider Eraden decides to move around the other way, insuring nothing would flank them by surprise. He runs up the thick forest, looking for the spider Graval had seen, his sword in hand and prayer on tongue. Eraden locates one of the creatures and extends a silent challange to it. Let us see what you can do.

The spiders are in retreat, but are not done yet. The Herd Spider gives a quick shove at Zardi as he bites him. Zardi manages to keep from being shoved into more sticky webbing, but loses his balance in the process. The herd spider steps back between two trees.

The Venom Spitter on the right then shoots a wad of venom at the prone Zardi, striking him, then scuttles away to relative safety. The middle venom spitter aims his shot carefully at Perin and hits. The leftmost Venom Spitter steps back from Eraden, then spits at him, also hitting.

The big spider, deciding there is less dangerous prey than Jarro, pounces at Perin. Two blades lash out at him on the way, but both Spider's sword and Zardi's axe miss. Perin is knocked to the ground, and the spider retreats behind a wall of webs.[sblock=Enemy Actions]Herd Spider K

They span from tree to tree, but large holes in them, so don't provide cover or concealment.

He gave a glance back to his allies. "Ah-yo, Lor' Malabee: dunna get left behin' now, ya 'ear?" Jarro turned back toward the enemy and charged ahead. "An ya get outta I an I's whey!"

As he charged, he slammed the blade down, crushing the spider more that cutting it, but killing the creature all the same. "Ay Grava! Dat's two for da tchree-trunk, an nottin for da tchree-stump!"
