Ryk looks at Rikka across the dying noble's body. As she struggles to stop the bleeding, he notices that ir'Haran has stopped breathing - he's choking on his own blood! Sit him up, quickly! Then turn him over. Together they succeed in clearing the man's airway. Only then does Ryk notice the danger he's in. He edges away from the assassin, calling Spring to stand in between. Drawing a blade, he prepares to fight again.

STANDARD: aid another
MOVE: shift to H13, Spring moves to H12. Note Beast Protector feat: If Spring is attacked by melee, Ryk gets an opportunity attack even if he's not adjacent to the atttacker.

Assassination! Round 13

The group rushes to stop Twinrose or save the Lord. The Devourer must watch over her, but all attacks against her miss in her madness, and Vok pays the price as the flames claim him. Rikka and Ryk hastily manage to stem the Lords bleeding.

Ignoring the fire, Twinrose screams as she raises her blade again, May the Keeper take you! Die forever! She plunges the blade into his heart, expecting him to die... and he does not. For if the Six watches over the mad, then the Nine must be watching over Lord ir'Haran, because his life holds by a thread...

[CDG succeeds... leaving him w/ 1 hp before killed. And death save succeeds! Drama!]

There are stairs to get up to the stage (which is 5' up). The line indicates a higher level in the back that is difficult terrain to get up. Pillars provide cover for those next to them; you cannot move through tables. Red areas are on fire; starting in or adjacent at beginning of turn, or moving through means you are subject to an attack: +9 vs Ref, 1d8+5 fire damage[/sblock]Combat Details

Again, Rikka ignored the fire and the raving woman, attempting to focus on bandaging the fallen lord. This time her efforts were a bit more successful, leaving her enough time to growl at their sole remaining foe...

[sblock= OOC]
>Fire attack against Rikka 1d20+9 vs REF= 12 (miss)
>Standard: Heal check to stabilize ir'Haran, 1d20+7= 20 (success)
Rolls: Roll Lookup

>There, that takes care of that. Everybody else, go for the kill! Come on, we only need one hit.

Bellegon finally plunges his shadow encased dagger into crazed woman. Shadows flow from her into the aura surrounding him, aura becoming quite obvious from collected power. He steps toward the fire surrounding Vok. As the flames lick toward him, the aura discharges. He sways from the heat, but the energies released from the aura dampen the fire surrounding him and Vok. He steps back from the fires, counting on somebody else to take heavily armored paladin out.

"The threat has passed! Get the healers in! <name of the hobgoblin shamaness>, you seemed to like the elf. Help us! Fire brigade, you'll loose half the city if you don't do something."

[sblock=Action]
Eldritch strike; damage; curse (1d20+10+2+1=26, 1d4+5=9, 1d6=3)

Fire attack; Fire damage; Arcana (1d20+9=25, 1d8+5=7, 1d20+10=25) - stonegod, you said I could weaken the fire so I risked the attack to discharge the aura (level 6 now). Arcana passed. I'm counting on half damage for Bellegon to move away from the fire, otherwise he falls down.

Vok continues to burn...but in that moment when all hope seemed lost, some spark deep within the half-elf refused to be put down...

[sblock=ooc]
vs ref; fire (1d20+9+5=27, 1d8+5=11) Assuming I still take damage from the fire. down to -20 (if I get to -25 dead).... need a miracle

death save #1 (1d20=20) Ho-ho! Sweet dice roller, forget all those bad things I said about you before.... ok so at end of turn Vok becomes conscious and 12 hp (which leaves a good shot of dying next turn ;) [/sblock]
