Ol' Scritch nods in a humble fashion, maintaining his silence in agreement with Vayne's request.

Vayne makes her way into the tunnel without any complications. She realizes that this tunnel has been crudely carved and was not formed by nature. The tunnel continues on about 40 feet before it reaches an intersection.

"It's clear for the moment, come on down and I'll check ahead a little." Vayne whispers back up to her companions

Vayne hugs the tunnel wall and creeps forward, hoping to surprise anything that might lurk near the intersection. <stealth check>

Joe will go next moving slowly, deliberately, and carefully
having in his mind to produce a light source (sunrod) if needs be, but for now, preferring the darkened passageway under the cellar

Howler sheaths his weapons just long enough to climb down the ring ladder, drawing them again when he gets to the bottom. His eyes quickly adjust to the lower light, and he stalks forward with surprising stealth for one his size.

OOC: Sorry guys, I had a massively busy streak between work and other things.

Nave makes his way down the ladder after Howler, climbing down just after him, feeling a bit nervous to be out of his comfort zone. "It's dark, wretched-smelling, and downright uncomfortable down here..." he whines, unhappy to be traveling into the depths below Daunton.

Looking up at Old Stritch, Nave makes a rude face and chuckles to himself before hurriedly climbing down the ladder's rungs. Accidentally stepping on Howler's hand a few rungs below himself, Nave receives a quick, blunt snarl from the half-orc.

OOC: Are there any specific rolls we need to check?

GM: No checks at this time. The party is in complete darkness. Everybody but Veyna has their vision totally obscured.

Old Stritch follows the party down, humbling something to the effect of a blind man would even need light in this pitch.

Slowly the remaining characters make their way through the tunnel, bumping into each other every so often before being stopped by a soft femine hand.

Vayne stops the group and whispers.

"There's a T intersection ahead. Go ahead and hit the light Joe, you can all see and see what clues tell the right way. It curves around so I cant see too far."

Joe activates a sunrod, and after his eyes adjust to the artificial light, he looks to Nave, and asks "would you mind holding the light?"

The sunrods produces a bright light that radiates the entire tunnel. With most of the party near the end of this passage, they are able to surmise that from the trapdoor to the intersection is about 40 feet. It ends at a T-junction. Careful observation reveals the tunnel the party is currently in was manufactured where as the cross path appears to be more natural in formation. The ceiling is roughly 6' overhead. There is enough room for the group to walk single file.

Nave whines for a moment but takes the sunrod and shuts up, not hoping to get a swift kick in the pants from Howler.

"Left? Or... right?" he asks Old Stritch, weakly hiding the contempt in his voice.
