Don't forget you're brutal Shroud feat, re-roll any 1's on your shroud damage. I took the liberty of re-rolling this time. Worked out ok.

sroud (1d6=6)

Oh, as a total aside, my boys have discovered Youtube and love that I can play any Disney song on it, we listened to Bear Necessities and the Monkey Song today, they were dancing to them and had a blast.

Valahad stands over the prone form of the tentacled creature. The kalashtar focuses his wrath on the creature, and Il-Yannah guides his blade into the creature's side, spraying blood over the grass. The grisly wound attracts the attention of their foes.

Not saying a word, Sheeva blasts Biggums and the Tentacle from the tree and then gracefully swings down out of it. With a tremendous crash Biggums falls and his club smashes the tentacle-creature in the head, finishing off that enemy as well.

Shaking a bit at the sudden howling of the dogs and still feeling the sting of their bites, Kortauhk yells at the hounds.

"OW!! Bad doggies! Doggies need Kortauhk teach them 'heel' and 'sit'!"

Dark clouds quickly gather above Kortauhk and winds begin to whip around the hounds.

"Bad doggies, you SIT!" he says, pointing at both of the hounds. Lightning bolts surge between the hounds and the clouds above the goliath, causing involuntary muscle spasms in the hounds.

Having disobeyed his command, Kortauhk frowns at the hound on his right and another bolt of lightning slams into it, causing whatever hair it has to stand on end.

After the lightning hits his foes, Kortauhk slams his foot into the ground and a large bolt of lightning hits the ground directly between the two hounds and Kortauhk. A deafening roar of thunder blasts the hounds back as Kortauhk yells out another command.

"Back bad doggies. Back!"

Dashing out of the side of the tent, the goliath skirts around the edge of the clearing and makes his way towards the other battle. Turning around to keep an eye on the hounds Kortauhk barks out another training command.

"Bad doggies stay! Stay doggies, stay!"

Feall moves a bit closer to the combat - just enough to be in range - and lashes out with his (sometimes) deadly falchion. This time he strikes true, as the shadow weapon slashes into the shadow foe and drops it to the ground.

River faith starts to fail as he fail to seal the hound. Overhearing the battle in the camp, and seeing the combat here is almost done, River heads to ward the camp to see if his help would be more needed over there.

The hounds look to each other, then at the large electric goliath and disappear into the dark.

That certainly went easier than I expected. Good job everyone. No more enemies are in sight.

Kortauhk looks over at the priestly shifter and nods. "Kortauhk okay. Kortauhk come hunt with man from Shard Inn. Man say 'Money man pay you lots moneys for to come hunt big bad things' and Kortauhk say 'YES! Kortauhk help you hunt big bad things! Kortauhk strong! Have storm! Storm go ZAP BOOM. Hurt lots and keep big bad things away from money man! Yes! Kortauhk go with!' But when Kortauhk and man come to find big bad thing, OTHER nasty bad things kill money man and eat him! Oh was so scary! Big bad things tear off arms of money man with long shoulder...arms? After big bad things eat money man, they beat up Kortauhk. Big big monkey man hit Kortauhk hard on head and Kortauhk eyes go black. When Kortauhk wake up, Kortauhk have rope on arms and rope on legs. Then small man come in and help Kortauhk! Small man no say much, but small man nice! Small man get Kortauhk out of rope and help Kortauhk find Kortauhk stuff!"

If it wasn't plain to see simply by the simpletons syntax and grammar, it was easy to tell that the stout goliath had the appraising eyes of a brick wall as he literally stared straight at River without so much as sidewards glace. It was plainly obvious that if it wasn't readily apparent, this one wasn't going to see it, much less understand it.

Valahad wipes his blade on the grass, cleaning it as best he could. The kalashtar walks to the others, and looks at Sheeva. "Do you want to chase after these ones too?" he says in her mind. The kalashtar looks around for Pok, and not seeing him speaks to the goliath, inside his head, reaching out to shake his hand. "I am Valahad, if you were an enemy of these ones, then you are our friend. Your chance at finding money is now gone, but our quest may help with that. We go looking for those that follow The Silver Flame, would you join us on our search?"

"No, let them go. They are mere beasts. It's their masters that are the problem. Where did that guy go who made himself look like Lan? He's the one we should be tracking." Sheeva says, not even aware that she is responding to Val out loud and that nobody else heard him.
