Sound of Stone carefully work over the stone door, and finds no traps upon this one. He opens it slowly and carefully, finding a messy room inside. Two large stone tables stand upright at the center. Along the outside of the room sit empty shelves, chairs and stone coffers in somewhat disarray. Sound of Stone sees no signs of recent activity in this room, but can tell there was some movement in the hall at one point.

Subtle growling begins to rumble from Whiggins, followed by some "talking", woo sounds with some huffing. Kamotz responds quickly, Stop complaining, harps the shifter, you want to be up here alone when the dragon-kin returns? asks the priest of death rhetorically. A loud huff is all Whiggins responds with before shoving his bulk down the hall.

With a deep breath, the pair stop squeezing once they reach the wider hallway. Just leave the torch, I've got another, says the shifter, pulling and lighting another torch in the same way as the first. With the new source of light, Kamotz examines the nearest door, and the rest of the hallway. Both of the wolf-like creatures sniff the air, and Kamotz looks for and attempts to read the tracks to locate their quarry.

OOC: now on torch 6 of 7.
sorry about the die roll below, I was rushing and typed "1" into the description. This is actually the perception check detailed above for the door and hallway. The second roll is for the tracks in the dirt floor.

There isn't a lot to go on when following tracks in this room. As far as you can tell, something has likely been all over the hallway at least, and recently too. An odd detail does catch Kamotz' eye. The south western door has old rags attached to the bottom, leaving no gap at between it and the floor. The other doors aren't like this.

Hunzu, come look at this door, tell me what you think. Kamotz points down the hall with his torch, None of this makes sense to me...

*Hunzu steps out from behind Kamotz and Whiggings. He slides a finger over the blade of his polearm. As he does so the blade lights up brightly. He nods to Kamotz as he moves past the pair of them. Looking over the situation at hand. His eyes gaze down upon the rags attached to the door, then around to the other doors within the door. He crouches down and inspects the rags closer.*

[sblock=Actions]Looking over the rags to see what there purpose might of been for.[/sblock]

[sblock=Hunzu]You don't think it's part of the original door design, that's for sure, but examining further, you also don't notice anything arcane either. It's likely some mundane purpose like temperature or pest control.[/sblock]

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
Illarion comes up from behind. "So, we find something yet? Sound of Stone, can I help?"

OOC: Will post occasionally before saturday, then probably not at all between 20 and 27th. NPC as neccessary

Kamotz looks to Illarion, Why don't you two clear that room, while we examine the rest of these doors for signs of passing and traps. Kamotz dismounts from Whiggins, Stay here and block the hall, if we are ambushed, allow no-one to escape.

The shifter makes his way, torch and shield in hand, to Hunzu. Excuse me, says the cleric as he shoves past Hunzu, pressing his ear up against he door with rags beneath, and holding his torch far away. After listening for a moment the shifter begins checking each door for traps. When he completes his round, he remounts Whiggins.

*Hunzu stands to his feet and sidesteps out of the way of Whiggins large frame. His voice enters the mind of Kamotz as he watches the move listen in upon the door.*

"Someone was attempting to keep something inside this room. Whether it has warmth, liquid, flumes, or vermin. Something was blockaded in such a mannerism."
