Any One Else Working Today? 12/25

Since my second job is a convience store I get to work today....12-4. At least the manager is making it that everyone has to work 4-5 hours today to keep it fair and Parents with lil' kids have the morning off.

Who else has to work today? Any special consideration by the employer?

Not me, but one of my friends is working tonight at a gas station.

I have to go into my lab this evening and tend to some experiments, and set up some overnight cultures. Nothing that will take more than an hour though.

For the first time in many years I did not have to work yesterday on Xmas day. It was weird, but good.

Nope. I dunno if any stores opened this year. Last year a few were open on Christmas Day.

The only day we don't open out of the entire year is Xmas day for my gas station I work at. Other then that, it's always 7 am to 11 pm everyday 'cept for Sundays (8-10). I did have to work Xmas eve, but only from 2pm until 8pm, as it was super-reduced hours that night.

The tips were worth it though

I worked ten hours on Christmas day. It was insane. Everybody and their brother decided that they HAD to have coffee. We were the only place that was open, and we had, on average, 50% MORE customers per hour than usual.

It was horrendous. And exhausting.

But the tips were AMAZING
