Archer Class?

U know there's a scout class, and of course the ranger and fighter? But is there an actual archer class? Or atleast anything else you would recommend?

From WotC there is no specific archer base class (Fighter and Ranger mostly fill that role), but there are a few prestige classes, like the Order of the Bow Initiate.

Those three are archer classes as much as they're melee classes. They're not specifically designed for one or the other, but they're designed for both.

There was an archer core class in the Sovereign Stone setting. I believe it allowed additional attacks using the bow.

I seem to recall, pehaps a dragon?, had a variant ranger specializing in bow.

Theres 3 prestige classes in the book of prestige clases (I dont own it, friend does, so name might not be accurate)

Military Archer
Longbowman
Sniper

Although prestige classes, the military archer could be easily taken at level 2, if your first level is fighter or human ranger/paladin (Needs a +1 Base attack bonus, and 2 specific feats)

Military archer could easily lead to longbowman, and then onto sniper, and offers a great role-playing opportunity to belong to the local militia, and advancing in classes as if they were special training for exceptional personnel
