Attempt to Woo

maciver

First Post
A somewhat short Elven male, wearing purples and greens graces his way to the tree with a soft smile. In his hand is a piece of parchment. As he approaches the tree he stops and looks at the others posted there and then to his own parchment... and then back to the others. He turns around ready to head away. .oO(I can not do this. Mine is so... and tha one is so...) he looks back to Quickstrings'. Finally, without pause, he turns and sticks his to the thorn and takes a step back. His smile returns as he walks away:

With the wisdom of the trees
And lonliness depart
The Willow brings the world at ease
With her strength of heart

She can not topple when harsh winds blow
With elegant dance demure
She does not drown when rivers flow
But stands her ground to endure

Her roots do not go so deep
But rather stretch they out
To hold those closest to her keep
With arms releasing doubt

As she is below, she is above
Tempting celestial grace
Temporal figures dance in love
With the Willow's face

Drift thee not to slumber's bay
Without her gentle kiss
Lest the Willow shall decay
To lonelliness abyss

Whilst in thy sight and in thy reach
To touch her just once more
And listen to what she has to teach
How to love a heart that's sore.

She reaches up toward the Moon
But never leaves the ground
I know the truth and learned it soon
I love the Willow I've found

Dress me not in silver thread
My namesake to adorn
Throw down my bow and quiver too
And step me free from scorn

Deny me not the Willow's love
Nor her sweet wined kiss
For what flows below shall rise above
An eternity of bliss

My title do I give away
The banner of my name to thee
That you shall live e'er free this day
With child, with love, with me.
