Agreed. If my players were to show up at the game in ski masks carrying big bags of money, I'd certainly cancel the game. Nothing kills a game like cops showing up at the door.

Depends on the game. If it's Shadowrun, the police shootout just adds to the ambiance.

Lately I've noticed a trend where every time there's some weird monster I haven't heard of, it's from Greyhawk.

They're intelligent apes from the 1e Fiend Folio. They reappeared in 2e in one of the MC appendices, and I'm pretty sure they're in the 2e Monstrous Manual, too.
