blast/burst area question

Say you are standing in a room, and it widens 2 squares away from you, if you casted a blast 3 spell, would the remaining part of the area go into to wider area or would it just stay in it's straight line path. I'll try to draw a diagram here...

so, would the end of the spell wrap around the corner or just continue in a strait line away from the caster, along with the adjacent spaces on the caster's left?

edit:hmm, it didn't turn out the way I wanted. the X is the caster, the vertical lines are supposed to line up like a wall...

If you were using a blast/burst 5, it could extend around the wall. Notice how you are not allowed to cut diagonally across the wall to determine the range.

The next question, after determining if it's in range, is whether the square you are looking at has Line of Effect and/or Cover. You determine this from the origin square (x). In this situation, 5 would have LoE and Cover (possibly Superior Cover). 6 would most definitely not have LoE, therefore the square (and any creature it contains) would remain unaffected.
