Number one rules of the table is to make sure people have fun.
Good ROLE-playing is playing your character in such a way that everybody gets to have fun.
Bad role-playing is when you don't do the above.
As a DM if I got one of those bad role-players I'd start modifying my traps and threats to take them out rather than the group.
If the button would have opened a pit trap, now it springs a poison needle on the pusher...
