James Ferdinand III

James, regaining a bit of his usual confidence, decides to head into the deepest areas of the forest. He thinks that he'll either find what he needs to use as an antidote, or else he'll run into Bailey and her gang, who may point him in the right direction. He retraces his steps off the ridge, then turns his steps to the heart of the primeval forest, searching for the antidote.

James heads east into the forest. Moving carefully, he sees no threats. Once back under the cover of the forest, he begins his search for the herb.

15 minutes of unsuccessful herb hunting pass when James begins to notice a numbness in his hands and feet.

OOC- Bloomington is about and hour-hour and a half north/northeast.

(Considering that James is a stranger to these lands, the closest town he is aware of would be Tres, which you estimate is maybe a mile and a half away. From the way most folk describe the forest..its pretty big if you continue east.)

James Ferdinand III

James realizes very quickly that the poison is taking effect faster than he had hoped. He reverses direction, heading for Tres. As he goes he will, of course, keep his eyes open for the Unicorn's Horn that he needs. He is now kicking himself even more, both for walking into the trap and for wasting time once he realized that he was poisoned. This has now been the official worst day of his life.

Concerned, James begins to trek back to Tres. Keeping his eyes open for the elusive Unicorn's Horn, he descends the ridge on the western side and begins his journey.

Leaving the ridge and difficult foliage there, the youn man makes good time through the fallow fields. As he travels, James can feel the numbness spreading from his extrmities toward the center of his body. Halfway back to Tres, James' arms and legs go numb, slowling his progress.

Although unsure if the poison is lethal or merely meant to subdue, James breathing becomes more difficult as he gets nearer to town as his muscles begin to become immoblized. Gasping for air, you drive yourself forward against rebellious limbs. Moving slower, and with some difficulty, you finally see Tres.

On the road into Tres you see a group of a dozen villagers with your travelling companions. They see you as well. However, you soon realize the effects of the toxin may make communication difficult.

Almost stumbling, James enters the village.

OOC- Your status is self explanatory. Breathing is difficult-you can speak, but your spech is limited- trying to speak too much may cause you to pass out.

Please post your repsonse in the regular thread after I update there. Thanks!
