Corragan shudders at the sight of these curious creatures. Briefly he considers rushing in to attak the creatures and take advantage of their early surprise, but he quickly dismisses the idea as reckless. Instead, he slams the butt of his new spear to the ground, calling on the winds to buffet the creatures and throw them off balance. Then Corragan's form shifts, adjusting to become a large monitor lizard, his jaws snapping.

[sblock=Actions]Standard: Grasping Tide on D12, striking workers 6 and 7
Minor: Wild Shape into beast form (monitor lizard)[/sblock]

OOC: I'm assuming Fort 10 is a miss and 26 a hit. If Worker 7 tries to leave the 9 squares centered on D12, Corragan will take an opportunity attack, +7 vs Reflex: knock the target prone

OOC: @Medina : I noticed in your character sheet that Grasping Tide listed the secondary attack as an effect. In general, if an Effect line is listed in a power, it happens whether the attack portion hits or misses. After looking the power up in the WOTC power database (Compendium) I found that the secondary effect only applies to those who the power has hit (as RAW, it does not create a zone that can knock creatures prone if they leave the zone, but it DOES have a secondary effect on those it hits).

The only reason I bring this up is because the way you have it written in your character sheet, the power would have effected Kruthik Worker 7 AND Kruthik Worker 6 with the opportunity attack effect, when it only applies to Worker 7, whom you hit.

Just FYI :)

Now we're just waiting on Rilissa to roll initiative and we'll get this party started!

Although rather effective, Corragan and Sha'kar's deadly attacks only seems to anger the Kruthik workers, who chitter loudly and tap their weaponized limbs on the stone beneath them.

Suddenly, more than a half dozen more of their kin burrow their way to the surface of the stone. The now enraged horde of insectiles run along and down the rock to clash with the adventurers, metallic claws meeting metallic armor and weapon. Only Rilissa and The Cursed One's armor manages to hold up enough to keep them unharmed, while the other four adventurers feel the bite of Kruthik madness.

Worse yet for the adventurers, once the Kruthik creatures manage to work their way into combat, it thrashes violently, making the battlefield even more dangerous as metallic claws fly through the air all around the adventurers. If they're not careful, they are sure to become one of the Kruthik's next meals!

[sblock=KRUTHIK NASTYNESS!!]
All Kruthik with a red aura around them (all in this battle) have the following aura 1 power:

Gnashing Horde (aura 1): Any enemy that ends its turn within the aura takes 2 damage.

In short, for every Kruthik you have adjacent to you at the end of your turn, you will take 2 damage. [/sblock]

OOC: Hmm. Guess I shoulda made an alchemical fire again instead of the tethercord, would come in useful right about now...Anyway, Ima wait and take my turn after TCO, Ignatz, and Dina so they get the Magic Weapon benefit.

With her longspear in hand Dina pokes at one of the kruthik near Ignatz, when it looks for the source of the distraction, Ignatz strikes.

"Corragan, sweep away as many as you can!"

Dina then moves away from the crowded middle and strikes at another kruthik using her memory of battles past to get the edge in fighting them.
