There are many many ways to roleplay that don't involve doing what the paladin did! It ended up going well in the end though. Plus, despite any disappointment I might have felt at the party conflict which dominates the first half of the session, I admire and respect anyone who is prepared to roleplay on camera, especially in a D&D sponsored scenario that is undoubtedly going to be watched by a LOT of people. Bravo to them for that.I think people are being too harsh on the group (even the Paladin). It is clear that they were more attracted to roleplaying than solely optimizing their strategy and "winning" the game.
