OOC: Lasair is a little overleveled for this. A really good tactician might be able to solo the adventure at level 4. Otherwise, a psion would be pretty handy.

(OOC: No problem! I'm glad to let the others have a chance too--just gave a shout out if you wanted a Psion Lasair is really really terrible at fighting though--I built her for Diplomacy. Unless there's another encounter like the Bulette one where there's a single burly enemy with bad Will save and very low Charisma. )

Rilithorne's apprentice moves on over to the group. "This looks about right. Hehe, I know it's kind of a silly thing to hire someone for, but with the whole kobold mess, better safe than sorry. Oh, and I should mention ahead of time, Rilithorne pays by results. If nothing eventful happens and its just Thyrin being behind as usual, there's probably going to be less money than if it's some kind of magical catastrophe. Of course, with Thyrin, I'd say you've got at least 1 in three odds that something has gone wrong. Rilithorne's paying 200 gold apiece, plus extra depending on what's actually going on."

Keldar sees Sammy safely into a chair, and waves their potential employer to one. "Those sound like fair terms," he says. "Two hundred up front? I admire a man who realises the need to be flexible. A woman too, come to think of it. Perhaps more so." He looks around for Galwynn. "Galwynn," he yells. "I have a job for you. I'll pay you two crowns per day, though you'll need to pay your own expenses out of it." He turns back to the mage. "I can look after his two hundred. He's one of the Keldarites," he says. "Sort of a star-struck follower. I'm teaching him a few things as we go."

I'm Rilithorne's assistant, and we have a slight problem.

"Excuse me, but did you say Rilithorne? You work with the Rilithorne? And he needs a favor? Oh, my goodness! Um, I would love to go with you -- really, I would -- but this lady here needs help finding her son, and I said I would help. Unless... Pendrake, did you say you would help find the boy? I know he'll be in good hands if you're there, and a chance to work so closely with Rilithorne... " Tommy's eyes flash with excitement, "Why, he might even learn my name!"

OOC: If Pendrake is still interested in Wik's adventure, this one sounds like a better fit for Tommy. But, he did say he would help, so he doesn't want to just leave.

Rapture

Well, I can't help others just by sitting here, Sammy thinks to herself and finishes her milk. She raises her hand to attract a barmaid and when one of them notices it, Sammy whispers something to her. Gently escorted, Sammy approaches Rapture and Keldar. Once there, she thanks the maid and turns toward Rapture.

"I'm also sorry for my burst, she dips a small curtsy. I realised I let my emotions get the better of me but you left in such a hurry that I had no chance to apologise." Visibly troubled, Sammy bites her lip. "I know that chances favour that I'd be nothing more than a hindrance on your task, but would you nevertheless require a healer to accompany you?" Suddenly, the ardour and strength from before is gone from her expression and stance and Sammy's fragility is highlighted.

"Tis my fault m'lady, not yours. We need not speak of it further," Rapture says with a polite smile. "As for accompanying us, it wouldn't be wise to turn down the services of a healer."

OOC: Yeah, only 2 arcanists I know are Tommy and Conould, one's in another adventure, and one would need to be instead of Keldar.

OOC - Not any more! That poverty stricken widow woman's child will be just fine.
I do have Taelythenihel Nimmilemar, grey elven wizard with a specialty, but she really wouldn't mix well with a party of paladins. If you think Keldar and Galwynn butt heads, you should see how well she got along with him in her brief time in the tavern. But I'm set on playing Keldar in this one.

"Who's this Rilithorne, and why does he have a the in front of his name?" Keldar asks Rapture. "If you join our expedition, Ginger, maybe the Keldar Warbray will learn your name."
