Cloth of Holy Silver

Khorod

First Post
Just had an idea... One of the more expensive things you can do with precious metals is make it part of your wardrobe.

With the new damage reduction, maybe monks will stop being so against wealth, and buy some nice cloth of holy silver gloves.

And that dashing swashbuckler with his Cloth of Holy Silver cape... why, he can wrap it around his rapier and smack that demon.

Does anyone know how cloth of gold works so mechanics for such as that might be made? I know its not pure gold...

Umm, I think just using a metal cloth on a rapier would mean damaging the cloth pretty heavily after just a few strikes, while greatly reducing the weapon's effectiveness. Perhaps a magical cloth that wraps perfectly around a weapon, making it effectively of that material... that would be an interesting item.

Holysilver Cloak
This is a shining silvery cloak, made of metal and yet very light. When wrapped around a weapon, the cloak merges with the weapon and turns it into holysilver. The weapon loses any special proprierty associated with its material, but maintains any other quality, magical or otherwise. The weapon is considered holysilver to all respects until the character removes the cloak. Wrapping or unwrapping a weapon is a standard action which can cause an attack of opportunity. The cloak can only be used on a weapon up to Large in size. If it's cut in half, each part is a smaller cloak that can cover a Medium or smaller weapon. The two parts can't be merged again, and cutting them further ruins their magical power.

Feel free to come up with suitable creation details and cost. :p
