Interesting comment on Lethality. I am going to have to give 4e a more in depth experience in a campaign to get a better feel.

Just wanted to say thanks to evryone for this thread - I am preparing for my first 4E campaign as well and there was a lot of good information here.

Yes, thanks for the info.

I am glad I was able to play before I tried to DM. There were some things that did not seem to click when reading the book but made sense in actual play. I don't know if I said this already, but I almost wish the 4e rulebooks were complete straight reference with no fluff at all. I think there is supposed to be a rules compendium coming out at one point but I am looking forward to D&D Essentials.

I am not sure I want to DM 4th ed but at least I am getting a chance to see what it's about. (Really want to play Hackmaster Basic but that's in the works. )
