Critical Role’s highly successful second campaign -- The Mighty Nein -- premiered over three years ago and has built up over 530 hours of adventures, including over 440 villains conquered and over 100 hours of battles (source: CritRoleStats), and this Thursday, June 3, the epic saga of Critical Role’s second campaign is set to embark on its final adventure.

Since the launch of the campaign on January 11, 2018, Critical Role has chronicled the story of Jester Lavorre (Laura Bailey), Yasha Nydoorin (Ashley Johnson), Caleb Widogast (Liam O’Brien), Beauregard "Beau" Lionett (Marisha Ray), Nott the Brave/Veth Brenatto (Sam Riegel), Fjord (Travis Willingham), Mollymauk "Molly" Tealeaf and Caduceus Clay (both played by Taliesin Jaffe) of The Mighty Nein as they explored Wildemount, formed relationships, spat in the face of death and buried allies, realized that not all goblins are as they seem, discovered the power a friendly cupcake (sprinkled with some Dust of Deliciousness) can have in befriending powerful foes, and showcased the resiliency one can have in the face of insurmountable odds time and time again.

Experience the final chapter of The Mighty Nein as Critical Role concludes the legend of this ragtag group of miscreants that millions across the globe have come to know and love. How will their journey end and what’s next from the world of Critical Role? Tune in to find out!

The final episode of Critical Role’s Campaign 2: The Mighty Nein airs this Thursday, June 3 2021 at 7PM PST simultaneously on Twitch (twitch.tv/criticalrole) and YouTube (youtube.com/criticalrole), with the replayable VOD of the show available on Critical Role’s YouTube channel the following Monday.

Critters…. How do you want to do this?

Five hours in, and it does feel like they could have had a split the episode 30 minutes after the break or added a break just before
the Trent fight started.
Making it two episodes rather than one

Odd that the news stream is so late in the week. Abd extra odd it's in the AM
Are they having an episode on Thursday? Will it just be offline? If so, why not do the news then?
Why is the Battle Royale on a Friday not the previous Thursday?

My predictions:

Campaign 3 will be D&D 5E, with no cast changes, and likely will not start this year.

The announcement next week will be that they are adding second actual play TTRPG show, possibly a limited series. The cast will have 2-3 of the regular CR cast and some new people, and it will use a different system. Matt will not GM that show. Brian Wayne Foster and Mica Burton will likely be on it. That show will debut this year.

i finished it, i wont do spoilers, but they did cover a lot of ground in the 7 hour session. i still think things are open for similar one-shots like campaign 1 had, and it was a good end i think.

as far as the BIG announcement for this coming thursday, i think another poster on this thread is right, and they will announce a book coming out (my guess in partnership with WOTC) and the third campaign will start in september or november when the book comes out, which leaves them time to do Cartoon press stuff when that comes out on amazon.

i forgot all about the kickstarter battle royal goal, so that will be a nice filler thing, and fridays seem normal for most one-shots at least thaats how i remember most of them coming out.

now i need to find some other stuff to watch/listen to, we need a section of ENWORLD that lists all the podcasts/youtubes that feature gameplay and a list for dm tips and other helps. unless one exists and now i look stupid, :)

Mica would be amazing in the role. Despite being very close friends, Foster has been a miss for me whenever he appears in a one-shot.

Different strokes. I thought he was great as the GM of Undeadwood, and I found her unbearable as a guest player on CR.
