What does the title of this thread mean when it says ".. using pbta"? Is it a published rpg using PBTA? Or something else.
PBTA = "powered by the Apocalypse" -- which is a near-synonym for "Using the Apocalypse World Engine" (AWE)...
Generally, AWE is used when the mechanics are pure AW cloning, with just different moves to match the theme, PBTA being more widely applied. Some self-labeled PBTA use other dice modes for the 3 outcomes.

It's worth noting that there is no official labeling license for PBTA nor AWE. Vincent Baker has said it's up to designers to choose.
