Rawhide nods at the warforged, but it is clear that he really does not comprehend. He licks his chops in anticipation...

Well, that was a real trip for biscuits.
After a short wait, your meals arrive. The peppered black apple boar has, to put it mildly, a bold flavor. The black apple and boar meat must have been soaked in a brine/pepper/wine sauce for the better part of a week. Tumbili, on the other hand, has a mellow, sweet flavor, and the meat is gamey and lean.

OOC: Let me know if there're any precautions or anything that y'all take as you look for a guide. Remember Vincennes and Jobling.

OOC: Well, we'll be trying to avoid the shady-looking characters, but if they all look somewhat suspicious, we'll just take the most trustworthy of them and keep a really close eye on him ;)

Rawhide falls upon the meal with zeal, smacking and chomping and licking his chops ever other chew. He calls to the server, "Hey, 'dis Xendrick is purdy good!" He grins and takes a long pull of ale. Burping loudly, he looks to Gannon, "So wot now, boss?"

"More boar, for one!" says Plonk, eager to get rid of the taste of fish from his mouth. Plonk scans the guides, knowing no way they're going to hire a goblin this time around!

Gannon looks at Rawhide. "We're going to hire a guide who can take us to our destination. The place that someone told Plonk about. I can get along in the wilderness and you're most likely just as good at it, but I don't think any of us has even the slightest idea, where the place is."

He starts looking around the room for somebody who might be a suitable guide. However, he's trying to avoid goblins. His bad experience has proved that they're probably not the most trustworthy.

Rawhide nods and remarks off-handidly, "Hey meybe deres one o' dem...er...whatchamacallits....guilds here....". He then falls back to his meal.

OOC: The food and drink comes to about 3 gp total when all is said and done.

As you scan the room for likely guides, you find that most of the patrons are obviously sailors or longshoremen of some sort. City or ocean folk. It's frustrating until you notice a burly half-orc eating a drumstick at the bar. A large sword is strapped across his back and a crossbow hangs at his side. He looks dusty and dirty and wears an odd necklace made out of obsidian and bone. He catches you looking at him and raises the drumstick in a mock salute. He then returns to his meal.
