D&D 5E Dark sun Times of change

Kanna goes to peer down the passage, her feet barely whispering on the stone floor.

"Are we going after them, or do we have what we need?" she asks warily. On some level she reasons this is a lot like a raid on a rival, where the aim was mostly to get in, grab what you wanted, and get out. Doing damage was not the priority.

But then again, this was not the enemy village, where they would be sorely outnumbered and easily surrounded and crushed if they stayed after the alarm went out. And any foe they killed now was one less foe that would try to kill them later.

She wasn't sure what the best way to proceed would be. Surely these big folk had a system?

"There is much more to find, if Vorden spoke true. The others who came here before us are somewhere ahead, surely for a reason. The sooner we can catch up to them the better chance we have to get what we're after, get out before someone cuts those ropes, and find supplies that will get us back to Tyr. Let's try not to waste time."

GM: Sorry I forgot about you guys!

The doorway opens in a similar fashion to before and leads to a long corridor flanked with doors on either side at 10ft intervals. The trail carries on seemingly ignoring the doors.

“Yes, more to find,” Kimet agreed with Vorlan. “But more importantly, there are Templars to kill,” she said with a grin, following the trail. They then walked down a corridor with several doors on the side. The tracks ignored the doors, however.

As much as she wished to continue quickly after her prey, Kimet wasn’t keen on leaving doors behind her that might contain enemies, so she tried one of the doors to see if it was locked.

“Huh,” Kimet murmurs, stepping into the room a moment. “Really well preserved.” She uses her maul to poke around, always careful of snakes and scorpions, as she searched around the place.

“Nothin’ there,” Kimet told the others a she exited the small cell. “Check the others. Any idea what this place was?” She started opening the other doors to make sure nothing was hiding in them.

All of the other doors reveal identical rooms all equally untouched. The room on the end however is different it is twice the size of the other rooms and the bed Is unmade and there is another of those strange set of shelves full of those leather bound things.

"Dangerous. One way in, and out. You can get trapped in these little places," Kanna says, lingering just outside the door. "Maybe they keep prisoners here."
