Kanna goes to peer down the passage, her feet barely whispering on the stone floor.
"Are we going after them, or do we have what we need?" she asks warily. On some level she reasons this is a lot like a raid on a rival, where the aim was mostly to get in, grab what you wanted, and get out. Doing damage was not the priority.
But then again, this was not the enemy village, where they would be sorely outnumbered and easily surrounded and crushed if they stayed after the alarm went out. And any foe they killed now was one less foe that would try to kill them later.
She wasn't sure what the best way to proceed would be. Surely these big folk had a system?
