Differences in Star Wars Editions?

My gaming group is going to give Star Wars d20 a try over the summer. Not wanting to drop a lot of money on a game that we may only play a few times, I went to ebay to buy the source book. I've since come to find out that there is a revised edition of the book out, while the book I purchased is the original.

My question is this: How hosed am I? I'm just playing (as opposed to GMing) and I'd rather not buy the updated book if there aren't that many changes. Can anyone give me their opinion?

Thanks

There are some major changes. Armor no longer provides a bonus to Defense, instead it provide DR. Many Skills and Feats have been reworked, as has the entire Space Combat system.

Also, classes in general are all altered and adjusted. There's also a brand new class, the Tech Specialist. So really, you do need to get the Revised Book if you can.

If you go to the official Star Wars site you should be able to download PDF updates for your prior edition stuff. You may want to get onto their message boards to find the stuff faster.
