As evidenced by the above advice, it depends heavily on which class you favor -- Cleric or Paladin.
Assuming that you're GM allows multiclassing as a Paladin (PHB doesn't allow this, but Forgotten Realms and many other settings do), Charisma makes a good choice.
If you are going mostly Cleric, I definately agree that Wisdom will give the greatest payoff.
I would not pump Strength, easy enough to get a Bull's Strength when it is needed. Having an odd score just means if you get lucky, you will get much more from the spell than someone else.
