It looked like a slightly heated conversation to me. They worked it out, and editted out their posts.

*shrugs*

I won't say more than that, even though I read the conversation. They editted the posts for a reason, I suppose...

Macbeth, can you check my skillpoints? I still don't think 35 is right, I think I'm supposed to have 32 like I originally listed.

Yeah, sorry, I just double checked my math and I had somehow arrived at 7x4=31. Don't ask me how I can do calculus but I can't multiply, but suffice it to say the character is fine. I'll add him to the list presently.

EUhm I mailed with questions like a week ago but never got an answer so I'll just post it here.

I was wondering if I could use the Reactive Counterspell feat from Forgotten realms (or magic of fearun... one of both) for my character that I'm making up. It's gonna be a Dwarven Abjurer who specialises in counterspelling and protective spells and wall spells. (Pretty much exclusively) It would fit him and its a good feat.

And can a GM use his own PC in his own game? I'd like to set up a region and be the GM of that region and be like its janitor or something. That would give me the ability and chance to devellop and gouvern it and run adventures in it. Something like every GM has his own region and runs adventures there and devellops the region further. And only he can run adventures there or another GM should ask him if he can or something. (Based on the World of Warcraft kind of DMming, which comes out this December). But if this is the case I'd like to have my own PC in the region...

Well what a coincidence, I was just sending you an email about those feats as I got notification about this post.
Here's the deal: Improved Counterspell is fine, Reactive Counterspell is out.

A GM cannot normally use his own PC in his own game. There can be minor exceptions, but generally the answer is no. Gur Chuck Chuck is my own character in one of my games, but he's not going to gain anything from the adventure (however if he dies, he dies), because I used him more or less as an NPC lead in.

No regions will ever 'belong' to a GM. GMs run adventures, and do what they can to develop things, but they do not own the regions. They write up bits and pieces, accumulated into a setting as we get going more. Because of this, yes, you can have a PC in a region that you may have worked heavily on, but you can't use that to your advantage in any way.

Perhaps because one is in the 3.5 PHB and the other is not?:p

And I'll be making up some new Character concept then though... I think I'll just go with a NPC which I'll be using as PC in all my DM games and advance it. I might not be able to control a region then but at least the cource of someones life :p (as the dice go then, death is death offcourse)

I think it'll be an expert Jeweler or something...:)

Thanks for the answers btw!
