DM's Kit

Heya all, I was just wondering if anyone knows if WotC is still planning on releasing the DM's Kit boxed set this year? I really liked the paperback PHB in the Player's kit and would find a paperback DMG similarly useful. So anyone know anything?

My understanding from my FLGS is that it's been cancelled.

Maybe just for January, but that's the last they know.

Hrm, that's unfortunate . I wonder if the Player's Kit did not sell that well. I really like having a softcover PHB and was looking forward to a softcover DMG. I was even thinking about getting another players kit just to have another softcover PHB and more dice (and I'd get the one with the minis bundled in as an added bonus). Well, I'll just hope that they decide to release it at some point in the future.

I asked my sales rep at WotC about this. He said the DM Kit has been removed from the schedule, not just delayed.

I wonder if we'll see the DMG by itself in paperback form.

The PHB paperback is very handy for carrying around and has the errata.

We liked it - picking up a new hardcover PHB was more expensive than the whole players kit at our FLGS
