Anyone who has played the old Battletech game remember the standup cardboard mechs. They were a folded over piece of paper sitting on a plastic base.

Well I hate flat paper minis so to make my game look a little more interesting I want to do the same.

Any ideas where I can get those plastic bases?

Try these plastic bases fromSteve Jackson games.

They even come in different colors! And each one includes a zombie...you can't beat that with a stick.

I went to the local Staples/Office Depot/ Insert name of appropriate mega office supply chain... and bought several boxes of the clamp style paper clips....the proper name escapes me. In any case they come in a variety of sizes and colors, are metal, and can do double duty by securing the counters they hold. In anycase, simply open them, insert counter, and flip upside down to rest on their spine. Work great.
