Lucious notices that a couple of the scrolls are enscrolled and glow with light magic.

Corwin examining the bones is fairly sure that they are two complete skeletons, without any (or many) added bones into each individual piles. The skulls are larger and somewhat more elongated then a humans and if he had to guess, the arcane trickster would think that they were two complete skeletons similar to the hag creature outside!

Magen, still providing light, also finds a freshly dug section of ground. Its about a foot and a half by a foot long area. Something is probably buried in the earth here or the hag dug something up from here recently and refilled the hole back with dirt.

Shara looks over a few of the scrolls and notes that most seem to be written in some unknown language. The lines and symbols harsh and crude and yet they remind her vaguely of a crude elvish script. There are also a couple of ones that look like maps but the symbols and etching make no sense to her and she is not sure where or what they are from.

Hunter does not have much more luck then Shara trying to figure what the symbols might all mean but he notes that a couple of the maps might be of the area but back when there was only one forest and before the Starfall Marshes were formed (legends say that a meteor fell out of the sky at the end of the Red Age that destroyed the Red Elf stronghold of the area). He notes where the Ghost Peaks and Shield Wall Mountains should probably be in relations to where the ancient Aldeign Forest spread out between them.

After handing Hunter the scroll she was looking at and stepping aside, Shara nods over her shoulder, indicating her pack. "I can't reach it"--she looks down at the sleeping halfling in her arms--"but there's a scroll case in my pack, if you'd like it for safekeeping."

“Thank you,” Hunter said as he put the scrolls into the scroll case, and moved over to the others to look at the disturbed earth.

“Yeah,” he said nodding at Corwin, “we should probably dig it up.”

Makes me wish I'd brought a shovel - or a squire." He says with a smile at his own joke. "Best get digging then before the light fades." he says then looks around the group before realising these weren't his men to command.

Placing his shield nearby to provide light he starts to scrape at the earth.

OOC: Not sure how we are doing for daylight outside, but Magen has no desire to be out after dark. If the digging takes too long he'll stop and suggest we come back tomorrow.
