First Post
Every two weeks or so, I'll be posting new contracts to this thread so my players can review them and decide which they'd like to take. For visitors to this thread, my party is playing an Eberron-setting game where the party members are mercenaries in House Deneith, the largest and most prolific mercenary organization in Eberron.
Each mission should take approximately two game sessions to complete, at the end of which the party has the option of performing a skill challenge to search for a black market mission. (The window to search for one closes after that session so that I can know whether or not to add the black market mission to the list of missions available for the party to choose from.)
The party has until the Monday before that next game session to decide which mission they'd like to undertake (if any) so that I'll have time to prepare the game for that Wednesday. Should the party not be interested in undertaking any of the missions, they can engage in other business ventures or personal investigation skill challenges while waiting for new missions to become available--Just let me know that the party wants to wait for something else and I'll fast-forward time to the next mission available (just remember: Each House Deneith mercenary MUST complete at least one mission per month).
At the top of each posting, I'll include the date (possibly in a calendar) so that the party will know how much time they have available before the next missions on the listing come due. Each mission listing will include the accept-by date, the starting/completion-by date, the reward, a brief description of the mission, which division of the House is contracting the mission (The Blademarks, the Defenders, or the Sentinel Marshals), and the rank of the mission (D, C, B, A, or S). If the party wants to know further information about a mission, they are free to post their question(s) and I'll give a slightly longer description of what the mission will entail.
I'd prefer it if the PCs would create accounts here on ENWorld so that they can discuss the contracts amongst themselves before deciding, though I don't know for certain if all my party members have stable internet connections--We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. All of this is experimental, so I'm expecting lots of complications, but we'll make do as best we can. I just wanted the listings in a place where the party can discuss them freely between sessions without taking up in-game time (and letting me have time to work on the missions out-of-game in the margins).
