D&D 5E EB's Into the Eye of the Storm - PotA Campaign - IC

The group continues up The Long Road at a steady pace, the conversation making the miles go by quickly. Soon the woods start to thicken and they find the path Constable Harburk spoke of. It isn't long before they come to a hill in the middle of the trees with a black stone door set into it.

Amid the vines and brush a black stone door stands slightly open into the hillside. The opening only large enough for a child or slight demi-human to fit through. On the front of the door is carved an old family crest in a style not used in centuries by families in the North.

OOC:
Passive Perception 13 = You notice the brush and leaves from last fall all seemed jumbled up around the base of the door, but not the hill or inside the doorway opening.
STR check to open door wider is DC 12 - Only one person can roll with someone helping to give them advantage.

"Should we call out to Lord Sevond? Ask if he's "home". I don't like the idea of entering his tomb without his permission." Terry wonders aloud. "Those leaves are rather old by the door. And only by the door."

Talin represses the urge to curse as Cyan yanks at the door without even looking inside for signs of trouble. He shoots a glance to Niklos as he calls out. His new companions seemed intent on announcing themselves to the world. Talin moves to the side so he is not in direct line from the door. Might as well stay out of line of fire if the ghost or some far more mundane decided to take exception to them barging into the tomb.

The door swings wide open easily for the dragonborn. Old it may be but, the dwarven make of the door needed no oil to keep the unseen hinge working. Niklos looks in and calls out, but only a small breeze blowing the leaves at his feet make any sound.

Talin stays away from the opening and cringes at the groups actions in an unknown area. He can tell at that moment none of them ever trained in the art of the "stealthy" approach. But so far it hasn't come to bite them in the arse.

Captain Barakas looked in the tomb, feeling uncomfortable. He didn’t like being cut off from the skies. From The Storm. His Lifeblood. Underground, he was weakened.

“I’ll go first,” he said, pushing ahead. Letting fear control what someone did was against the Tenants of the Storm. He was the Storm. He would bring it wherever he went. And if that meant he went underground, then so be it.
