Enchantement Question

I once run an Dungeon Mod where the BBG had an LS + 1 Defender.
It was proposed that he cast before Battle Greater Magic Weapon on
his Swords. In this case it was an LS + 5 Defender after GMW.
Question since the better + echantement counts would the weapon
now count as +1 Defender or +5.
Could he use the entire + 5 bonus for the Defender ability?
Doing +2 to attack and + 3 to Defense?

Yes, the weapon becomes +5 Defending (Enhancement bonuses do not stack) and yes, he can use the full +5 to defense (because Defender is based on the weapon's Enhancement bonus).
