Pathfinder 1E Enchantment Bonus With Flat Cost

For purposes of concluding an argument, I'd like to ask for the help of the community.

Does an adaptive enchantment take up a +1 maximum enchantment bonus on a weapon for purposes of a maximum of 10, as well as for increasing the cost of future enchantments.

Edit: Small example

A +1 Composite Longbow with Adaptive wants to be upgraded to +2. Is it 6000g or 10,000g?

It is a flat cost, and does not add to the + limit. It would cost 6000 to go from a +1 adaptive to a +2 adaptive.

I agree with you as well. Though what's to stop a player from, stacking on a ton of armor enchantments since those tend to just be base.

For example a +5 Spell Resistance (19) Righteous Unbound Vigilant Determination Greater Shadow Fullplate.
