Enlarge Person question...

Lord Ravinous

First Post
Alright, this question came up at last nights game "If Enlarge Person enlarges all your character's equipment (weapon, shield, etc) does it also enlarge your mount to compensate for your new size?" Most people consider mounts to be just as much a piece of equipment as lests say, a backpack. So would it enlarge?

No, unless the mount is a Paladin's Mount or Druid/Ranger Animal Companion, and you're using Share Spells.

Hihihi. I think that would only work if you were riding a human/humanoid!

Definitely agree with you on that- they want to enlarge a normal animal, they're goign to have to have the appropriate spell.

"A paladin and her mount can share spells even if the spells normally do not affect creatures of the mount’s type (magical beast)."

"A druid and her animal companion can share spells even if the spells normally do not affect creatures of the companion’s type (animal)."

Actually, your bigger problem would be finding a paladin, ranger or druid who can cast enlarge person without multi-classing.

Why the arbitrary restriction?

It's a first level spell... it doesn't need much multiclassing to manage it...

Wasn't there a cleric domain with animal companion somewhere? Add the other domain (strength?) where you get Enlarge Person...

Duh. Thanks Hyp, that sentence makes me laugh ;)
