The group hears the clicking and clacking sounds of wood (maybe bone) striking stone. It comes closer and before the group could ready themselves two huge bird like beasts run out from one tunnel and right by the group towards another.

The clacking noise coming from the odd claws at the end of each of their arms. They pass by the surprised adventures (mainly surprised they didn't try to eat the party), and when the noise dies down another sound comes from the tunnel the hooked horrors just exited.

The group quickly scatters and hides. Thia helping the blind Finn into a corner. Kildrak moves across the room quicker than his short legs should carry him. And he rushes down a set of short steps into a large cavern.

OOC: Stealth and Perception checks for Kildrak.

The others listen as the gibbering draws close very fast. And then coming from the side tunnel is a hunting party of gnolls. The hyena headed creatures sniffing the ground as they follow the trail of the hooked horrors, and then they smell something else and pause.

OOC: Surprise round for everyone.

THIA

Thia fires a crossbow bolt at the same gnoll. Then she says to Atallia, "put these dogs down."

OOC: Attack [roll0]
damage [roll1]

d6 Inspiration die for Atallia.
[sblock="What can bardic inspiration do?"]Once within the next 10 minutes you may roll the die and add the result to one ability check. attack roll, or save.

-A creature may have only one Bardic Dice at a time.
-The Bardic Dice may be rolled after rolling the check/attack, but must be rolled before knowing if the current result succeeds or fails.
-Once used the die is lost, whether a success or failure.
-roll and add the result to a weapon damage roll they just made
-use their reaction after an attack is made against them to roll the Bardic die and add the result to their AC before knowing whether it is a hit or miss (player may know the d20 result, not the total)[/sblock]

Legend
Grudach tried to push himself further into the rocky alcove and trembled. The laughing dog-creatures were sniffing the air nearby and soon they would find him, he was sure. There was nowhere to run and his hiding spot would soon fail him. He wanted to run, to hide, or even to die to make this terrible feeling of terror subside, but he couldn't.

Suddenly he let out a shriek and lunged out of his hiding place. His vision blurred with tears and he drew his short sword and thrust it at the first of the dog-creatures to come around the corner.

[roll0] for [roll1] piercing damage. "Raging".
