Autumn

First Post
Kae will likewise duck for cover, her attention fixed on the cab. Its sudden descent seems rather portentous - one would expect a cab to make haste away from such a scene, rather than landing in the middle of it. Her eyes narrowed she will wait to see who might emerge from it. If they make for the Messenger then they'll find themselves on the receiving end of a crackling bolt of destructive power, coruscating red and black as it streaks toward them from an outstretched hand.

OOC: Take cover and ready an action to fire an Eldritch Blast at anybody who should try to pick up the Messenger.

Ranged Touch Attack 1d20+4 = 14

Paging Lorinal the third time...if not heard from by tomorrow, there may be some NPC'ing going on.

Everyone else is full speed ahead, and I don't think it's fair to make them wait.

( I think it is the mooks turn, if Kae and Zook have stated their actions, and Ambra is out cold. In any case, I'll post my action. )

Veyk continues to flow with the battle, repositioning himself to take advantage of what openings may be offerred. He hopes that one more blow will bring down the beleaguered mook so that he can turn his attention to the snipers.

Attack w/Flank: 1d20+6=12

Damage, Sneak Attack: 1d8+2=4, 1d6=5

Veyk: they have but we are all waiting on Lorinal/Ravenspath.
If we don't hear from him in a few hours, I'll give him a round of NPC'ing and handle everyone else's actions.

OK, we'll just do this.

Lorinal thrusts the butt of his staff into the pit of the last mook's stomach. He misses, and jabs the mook about six inches lower down.
Lorinal's attack (1d20+1=21, 1d6+1=7)
Critical threat
Lorinal's critical (1d20+1=10, 1d6+1=3)
Confirmed. These guys aren't wearing any armor.

The last mook clutches himself and keels over.
Lorinal dives for the cover of the railings and makes it.

The cab speeds past and over Kae, touching down by the corpse of her erstwhile escort.

The civilians keep running. Some of them have had time to think about screaming for help.
There is now no crowd cover near the fight.

Rethlin takes a 5-ft step back (no action) and spontaneously converts Divine Favor to Cure Light wounds (standard action). Silverly fire surrounds his hand as he completes the spell. He touches the bolt wound and it closes, the bolt dropping to the ground.
"By the grace of the Flame..."
Rethlin Cure Light Wounds (1d8+1=9)

The second round is ended. No mooks near you are standing: two are bleeding out, three are under the effects of color spray and not getting up again soon enough to be relevant.
The cab has landed behind you. You are still taking fire from the crossbowmen.
Third round begins in the next post.

Round 3

Kae (19, dex 16)
Zook (19, dex 14)
Mooks (19, dex 11)
Ambra
Veyk
Lorinal (10, PC)
Miscellaneous civilians (10, extras)
Rethlin

Kae dives for cover and readies an attack on anyone getting out of the cab.
Ranged Touch Attack 1d20+4 = 14
Damage = 1d6+1 = 6

Zook dives for cover and cocks his crossbow.

The cab lands between the party and the corpse. Kae sees a pair of legs as someone gets out the far side of the cab, using it for cover to approach the messenger and lets fly. The deadly ray flashes under the cab and blows one of the legs off. There is a shriek and the collapse of a body.

A hand reaches out of the cab window and starts frantically throwing smokesticks.
smokestick rolls (1d20+1=3)
Presumably it's trying to create a smokescreen, but with rolls like that, three noxious smokesticks promptly bounce over the edge of the walk.
The cabby whips up his his steeds and starts taking back off.
(A sidebar: the skycab looks like this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stagecoach
It is enchanted so as to fly, and appears to be drawn by four phantom steeds, each resembling a griffin. Judging from some of the maneuvers it's made, this is not strictly true, but that's what it looks like.)

More fire from across the way.
Triple crossbow bolt (1d20+10=23)
at Rethlin: I believe that hits.
triple bolt (1d10=5)

Two regular bolts fired at Veyk:
Shots at Veyk (1d20=15, 1d20=6, 1d8=4, 1d8=8)

I believe the 15 is a hit, for 4 points of damage, but I'm not sure.

(OOC:For both Veyk and Rethlin's character sheets, I'm not able to read the information you have in your code blocks: they all appear as blank to me. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?)

The mooks across the way appear to be belly crawling back from the balcony and are disappearing from sight.

Veyk is up.

Never mind then. They missed.

The skycab is wooden, but it's magically treated: any airborne vehicle wandering around a manifest zone gets built for strength.
Sedar bounces off the door without scuffing the polish.
